Prints quickly but very disappointed with problems

Summary: I will keep it short and simple. I had high hopes for my new MF6530. It turned out to have very good print speeds with very good quality print jobs. I liked a few of the features such as 2 sided printing. Unfortunately, it was not very reliable. It started with many unusual error codes which resulted in continuous resets which involved having to unplug the unit several times for 5 min minimum as well as removing and re-installing drivers.
Summary: This is a great printer for the price, and better than any others in it's price range for continuous, heavy usage in a small business environment, (like a law firm or doctor's office). Zemes wrote what appears to be a 2000 word dissertation, mostly complaining that the manual document feeder is not intuitive and that you must manually set the printer to print to special media each time. Neither is true.
Summary: This is a great copier at a great price. The only problem is that four months after I purchased it the power module died. To replace it would cost almost $600. Needless to say, it is now sitting in my garage ready to be disposed of...that is after I had to spend $75 to Canon Service to tell me it needed a $600 repair. I should have purchased the warranty.
Summary: Copy machine is a winner and a keeper. Provides the quality that Canon promises with a relatively low price. Toner cartridges are also reasonable. Makes great copies with little to almost no warm-up time. Well-rounded overall, and have not had a paper jam yet. Only complaint is that the LCD screen can be a bit hard to read sometimes. Other than that, it is a very impressive copy machine. Would definitely recommend.
It would be great if using the multipurpose tray wasn't such a pain

Summary: I have a four-year old Imageclass D680, which I love. Since it isn't being produced any more, I recommended the MF6530 to one of my clients, thinking that it would be even better. It's fast and prints great. However, it turns out that in order to print envelopes in the multipurpose tray (or any other odd-size paper, for that matter), you have to change the paper size setting in the menu every time. The orange error light keeps flashing until you do.
Summary: I bought this machine in January 2007. It stopped working in July 2007. Canon sent out a tech who said there was a flaw in the machine that Canon was aware of but had not developed a reliable repair for. The tech replaced the part and said it would probably break again. Lo and behold, July 2008 it broke again. This time Canon requires that I load the copier in my car and drive it to a service center that is 30 miles away. I also have to pay a diagnosis fee of $25.
Summary: I had a home-based business and have been using Canon copiers and printers since the 1980s. This MF6530 had replaced my Canon D660 I had since mid 2003. The D660 goes to my son and hope it will last for few more years. I've tried other brands and none as reliable, so Canon is all I buy. [...] It's warranted for 3 years with onsite service for the first year. It supports Windows XP and Vista.
Summary: We bought this copier for our church teacher's workroom. It's great! Very quick warm-up and copy speed. We love the document feeder on the top. I've used the bypass tray, which works well. Nice, clear copies. Great features, especially the duplexing, and pretty easy to use. Would buy again.
