Excellent AIO

Jose A., Newegg
12 September 2008
  • Summary: I don't understand the issues everyone is having. We use it in a small office enviorment and it has been a dream. No problems with network printing and works beautifully with vista machines. People should read instructions.
  • Pros: With this printer you get so much for the price. Cheap, efficient, and quite. FAST! We send out and receive many faxes, and the ability to send faxes and at the same time copy is awesome.
  • Cons: Lack of Mac Drivers. No Duplexing

Consider it

Christopher R., Newegg
25 April 2008
  • Summary: Personally, I like it. I can live with a little noise. The price is right and it works fine for a home printer etc...I do much of my printing for b/w documents and quality if fine for every day.
  • Pros: Let's face it, the price is why I bought this, although from another vendor. It's descent laser quality and a MFC for under $150. The print speed is good and this machine is fully compatible with VISTA. Check vendor's website. machine is great for home printing, copying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Cons: no power switch and scan light always stays on, but with a $5 investment I bought a power strip and placed it next to the unit. Machine is a little noisy but nothing louder than a typical HP laserjet.

Graciela G. Schweiger ""Ita Grace"", Amazon
10 February 2008
  • Summary: I was looking for a multi-task machine and this has taken care of all my office needs. It looks good and works very well. However, the first one I received would not turn on but Amazon replaced it with no questions asked and the return and replacement was handled quickly and effortless.

MFP Purchase

Paul Gibson, Amazon
3 October 2005
  • Summary: We needed a less expensive alternative for church leaders to use in preparing materials to share in their various projects. Took me a little longer to set up than I expected because there is a plastic piece that goes on the back of the machine I couldn't figure out how to install from the...

NO VISTA 64 Bit Support for scanner

Michael A. Keating, Amazon
3 October 2005
  • Summary: Canon has no support for a Vista 64. Works great with XP. Had it for two years prior to switching over. Great on ink. I will rate it good, but VISTA SUCKS!

Impressive for price...

L Weiss, Amazon
3 October 2005
  • Summary: This unit was offered as a Lightning Deal for around $165 with free shipping. I'd been thinking of a laser printer after several years of messing about with various inexpensive inkjet printers, deciding that most of my printing needs are, indeed, satisfied by B&W.

Very good value

D. Stancil, Amazon
3 October 2005
  • Summary: The printing, copying, scanning, and faxing quality of this machine is unusually good for the price. I am repeatedly pleasantly surprised by the quality of output! Setup and networking was a breeze, both in Vista and XP Pro. Included software works well.

  • Summary: Pros: - The setup is fairly straight forward. It took me about an hour to have the printer setup, testing network printing, USB scanning, and copying. - The print speed and quality are very impressive. Cons: - The light stays on constantly per design, even in Energy Saving mode.

Positive overall, some gripes

N.W., Amazon
3 October 2005
  • Summary: I purchased this device to replace a poorly-designed HP Laserjet 3330 multifunction. Overall, I have been happy with it. And compared to the HP piece of garbage, this is light years better. Printing is fast and clear, scanning with or without the ADF is quick.

If the scanner was only network ready...

Lab Fan, Amazon
3 October 2005
  • Summary: I purchased this machine about a year ago for our office. It was a little cumbersome to install and I sometimes get an error in printing which requires me to unplug and replug in the USB cable but in all, we have been very happy with this machine. It truly is a "workhorse" in our office.
