Summary: I have had this printer for years and it prints very good BUT there is a major problem with the driver or firmware. If a print job is sent to the printer with the wrong paper (letter size paper in the cartridge and job sent as legal) the printer will fault after printing one page and you cannot...
Summary: I bought this in 2007, 3 years ago. Used it fine until recently. Gave me error message, "Download standby/connected." Lots of people getting this message and usually means the unit is trash. People are going with Brother instead. When it works, it is wonderful.
Summary: I have only had this unit for 1.5 years. Intermittently, there has been a strange error message (Download Connected/Download Standby), which Canon support says indicates a problem inside the printer that needs to be serviced.
Summary: Being a frequent Amazon shopper, I've learned to read the reviews before buying anything. Read between the lines too. So when this printer came up as a Lightning Deal for $175, I put one in my cart and did my research before checking out. What a deal!
Summary: Compared to some similar HP products, this AIO is not so easy to use. Some examples: * One needs to be very careful about fanning all sheets that are fed as a stack into the document feeder.
Pros: Warms up quickly. Scan quality good.
Cons: Not very 'user friendly.' Some of the plastic parts seem unsubstantial and prone to break. No way to turn off the scanner light. No on-off switch, no reset/clear switch so the only way to clear the print buffer is to unplug the unit.
Summary: we got this for a small office and were excited to have it on the network for our scanning and faxing needs, not until the package was opened and the users manual was downloaded did we find out that the machine does not support network scanning or faxing. now it is just a copier.
Summary: Though highly reviewed for its attributes, this product comes out of the box with built-in ulcers for the hapless owner. The documentation seems to have been translated from japanese, with clumsy syntax and word usage.
