Summary: Overall the printing and scanning functions are good, at least good enough for working from home. It prints relative fast when connected directly to the computer. A little slower via wireless. The print function is immediate when you print from your computer, however, when you want to scan from the computer, you have to go to the scanner and set it on Remote scanner. This is a little annoying if the scanner is in another room.
Summary: The MF4880 is a very compact mufti-function printer. Print is sharp (I may not be a god judge, I find all laser printers sharp). Compared to my old Brother multifunction printer, I find the paper handling, especially that of the "multipurpose" tray (manual feeder) much better than the Brother printer. I would normally call it a single page feed but the 4880 can hold about 10 pages.

Summary: I'd like to start by saying that if I could, I'd give this printer 4.5 or maybe even 4.75 stars. A quick caveat: both my better half and I are pretty highly skilled computer users. He worked in computer operations in the banking industry for ten years; my background is in networking and web development. That said, installing and using the MF4880dw should be doable for most people with basic computer skills.
Summary: This is a solid product. I had no issues with the hardware or the software installation. The only issue is that when I printr, the docu8ments shoot off the machine & there is no placeholder for them. But I can live with that. At $170 which i paid for it, it is an unbelievable value. You pay more for a lessor quality deskjet multifunction office product. Highly recommended.
Pros: quality of the print. ease of installation. valu
Summary: This printer does exactly what we wanted. Prints double sided pages, scan in color and it's wireless. The only reason why the fifth star is missing is that we have been using it for only 1 month, and want to see how it holds up.
Fast setup, wireless printing/scanning, mac/pc compatible

Summary: easy to set up. took me about an hr max to set up for both computers. figure out wireless scannning within 20 minutes. you can remote print and remote scan from either end (printer or computer) perfect all in one, -1 star for the receiver tray being kind of weak )just a simple tab out. but otherwise really great machine.
Summary: The printer works flawlessly so far after first few weeks of printing scanning. Wireless setup took pa few tries to link with my gateway. When printer is switched of, the whole printer is completely out of power. If left off too many days, it looses the config settings. Needs to reconfig again and printer will ask to keep it powered on for 24hrs to charge. A bit tedious when not using it too often. Otherwise and excellent printer.
Summary: I bought this to replace a much larger, more robust laser. I wasn't interested in the fax & scanning features but wanted 2 sided printing which is only available on this all in one so I'm only using it as a printer. Printing is fast & quiet. The print quality is very good but no better than the 15 yr old HP it replaced. The price is excellent value. Now the no so good news. It's not plug & play. What's with that?
Summary: I use this primarily as a printer and have been happy with the results as a replacement for my Brother, which I always considered an excellent printer. The copier function works well and the scanner is about what you would expect for the price. I have not used the fax nor the doc feeder, but duplex printing feature was a must for me. The unit is decently quiet for a laser - i haven't even thought of turning on the "Quiet Mode.
