Most Convoluted Scanning Interface

Mark O., Newegg
  • Summary: Bought 2 of these to try something besides HP. Sent one back and paid the freight because it's so awkward to scan.
  • Pros: Good Print Quality.
  • Cons: Scanning requires interacting with the printer and the software. Too complex for average user.

Day Four

Not Satisfied Customer, Staples
11 June 2014
  • Excerpt: Printer on, I printed a page, and it printed fast. Great! However, the e-Manual does not display on my computer as stated in the instruction book. I guess I will have to call support. So far, until it is completely up and running, I'd say install is pretty bad.

So Far Not Good

Not Satisfied Customer, Staples
10 June 2014
  • Excerpt: My printer came without a USB cable, which it mentioned in the instruction. I thought then, I could connect using a Wired or Wireless Lan. Apparently this is not for my mdel MF4770n, so, I have to purchase a USB cable. Will let you know how it goes once I purchase the USB cable. So far, this machine is noisy.

printer software

stressed, Officemax
2 February 2014
  • Excerpt: this is supposed to be compatible with mac os but it took over two hours to set up. Had to do it manually and another 30 min to get the scanner synced. We also set up a windows 8 computer and the installation software would not come up so we had to search for the setup file to get this computer setup. What was really sad was that we downloaded the android and iphone app and set it up in about 30 seconds.
  • Cons: Set up

Major problem from the start

Feleciastarr, Staples
23 August 2013
  • Excerpt: This was my first Canon copier. My first experience has not been a positive one. This is the first copier that I have EVER had an issue uploading to my computer. It is also the most expensive copier I have purchased. From day one, it would not communicate with my computer. Finally, Canon instructed me to take it to an authorized Canon technician. Great. Their hours are from 8: 30 am to 4: 30 pm. I work 7: 30 to 5: 30, so I had to take time off from work.

WayOfLife09, Walmart
26 July 2013
  • Summary: Imagine my surprise when setting this printer up I realize it isn't wireless. The only reason I bought it was because I thought it was wireless. Hopefully Walmart.com corrects the misprint.
