Summary: Ok, so here's the thing. I bought this for my older brother who thinks he's older than he really is. He has convinced himself that anything technological is the devil and he gets super physically frustrated when tech acts up.
Summary: Since I got this for 99.00 and it is now 259.00 it will be better to just purchase a new multifunction printer. I had bought two and the other one is still working fine.
Pros: It worked great, copying, scanning, and faxing until recently.
Cons: This week we got error 202-200 which tells us to turn off and on the canon. This appeared as our employee was trying to scan. I figured out it might be part FK3-1153, the contact image sensor, that is faulty but I cannot find anyone that sells it to replace it.

Summary: Bought the Canon MF4770n because a) wanted a laser printer and b) excellent price ($99). I had an inkjet printer previously (also a canon) which decided to die after 10 years. We only ocassionally print (1-2 times a week) and I found the inkjet a real hassle in those conditions (ink would dry out,...
Conclusion: For a very long time I have been looking for an affordable laser printer for my home office, I got sick and tired of buying cartridges every other week. I for this one took it out of the box plugged the power and ethernet cable in, installed the drivers and setup was done, getting 2100-2200 pages...
Summary: This compact multi-function laser has a lot of bang for the buck. It's speed is impressive for big jobs and time to first page is excellent for your more commonly printed 1-2 page documents. The power save function makes it great for a home office. when it might not be used that frequently.
Summary: This was probably my best purchase this past year. The printer arrived and was packaged like a military tank; I doubt that even the common shipping carriers could have damaged it. The printer worked right out of the box and connected to my Toshiba laptop without any issues.
Conclusion: I still do not have the correct cable because apparently the cable that is recommended does not work with Windows 8. I cannot find a cable that is recommended with Windows 8, so not sure what I should do. This is a ridiculously stupid problem to have.
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Difficult Setup, Low Quality Output, unreliable, Flimsy Construction
Conclusion: It is excellent machine for a small business. The print quality is satisfactory. The speed is satisfactory. It has low noise. The price is very affordable. I have used it for just over 3 months, so far I have no complaint. I wish it was not black in color.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, Small Footprint, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
