Summary: If I had to choose one, compact home/small office AIO, this would be it. Exceptionally small footprint and great versatility. Glad I purchased it. I have it plugged into my wireless router and it works great, even send docs from my Droid. Fits my needs.
Pros: It works! Never a problem. Prints, scans to file, PDF, USB stick (!), etc. Toner cartridges widely available, often at discount/sale. Decent software suite considering the price for the entire package. Canon support is good (new drivers, etc.) Fast. Excellent photocopier.
Cons: Many manuals a bit confusing. Upgrade/support site a little difficult to navigate at first (IMHO), although once you get there it is very complete & up-to-date.
Summary: We bought this multifunction copier/printer/ scanner and fax for our small office consisting of several people. We couldnt have made a better choice. There is nearly no warm-up time, hit print and it happens. The document feeder acutally feeds one sheet at a time a must when faxing.
Pros: Excellent quality copies, fast startup time, feeds documents well - one at a time, easy to use. Fax from your PC through network, scan to USB. Small footprint, perfect small office do it all.
Cons: Two sided copying is misleading. Dont think duplex. However, it will take two singled sided documents and copy them onto one sheet.
Summary: Exchanging for MF4350D which does the same thing without networking and has smaller scan memory and for $150 less. right now the only affordable office machine which does true duplex scanning is the Brother 8085DN for $500.
Pros: nice looking, great tech support, sort of, some misinformation. But it does great scanning and printing and faxing so far. ;+)
Cons: Canon tech support has some misinformation in their sales department, every time i called to either ask a question about duplex scanning or if a particular scanner, including this one, had duplex scanning, the answer was yes. The answer is in fact no, NONE of the AIO's have duplex scanning, which...

Summary: Comments about Canon imageCLASS MF4690 Multifunction Printer: Cannon to me is the best product out there. I love this printer. This is a very small compact printer that doestn take up a lot of room. The set up was easy and the quality of your prints turn out beautiful.
Pros: Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Fast Operation, Reliable
Summary: I work in a law office and think this is a great product for scanning, copying, and printing documents right at my desk. The only thing that could possibly make it any greater would to be able to print in color. Thankfully, however, I can scan color photos and documents. I am very pleased thus far!
Summary: Very happy with this Canon all in one printer! It was very easy to set up and works well. I like especially the ease in setting up double sided copying and the power saver feature. It is a sturdy, well made product. Paper tray is also easy to use and feeds well.
Summary: It has all the important features (duplex printing and networking) that I wanted in a laser MF for under $400. Copying, sending/receiving fax, scanning, and printing worked fine on Windows XP and Vista.
