Great all in onr printer!

Excerpt: This all in one print/copy/fax/scan machine by Canon is fantastic! I purchased this to use in my new home day care a few months ago and it has done everything I needed it to. It comes with an e-manual that makes it very easy to search for what you need help with or have a question on without having to flip back and forth through a paper manual.
Summary: The MF4370 is a terrific machine for a small office. Print quality is first class (down to 4 point), the scanner is stand-alone quality and it duplexes for printing and copying. Faxing is straightforward. At the price ($200-$300), it's a good 5 star machine. Are there issues? Yes, but they're almost all related to the fact that it's designed for an office rather than a home user and assumes a degree of IT smarts.
Summary: I have had this printer for about 3 years, and never had a problem. I only remember it jamming once. The duplex system is very good, seems to line up quite well every time. I probably print 75-100 pages per month and besides the starter toner I have bought toner twice...I have a 2 pack ready to go as soon as I need it. Name brand toner costs somewhere around 70 dollars, which isn't too bad considering how many pages you get.
Summary: I'll make this short and sweet. This is the third printer (same model) I've purchased for my business. I was so impressed by my original purchase that I got one for my assistant and just bought this one for my second office location. You will love this machine, plus the Technical Support is located in New York and they're friendly, knowledgeable and get any potential issue solved the first time. I don't have any Macs, so I'm unable to rate the printer on that attribute.
Summary: The Cannon monochrome copier faxes at lightning speed, and does a great job of copies. The best thing about it is that it uses only black ink. I've found that colored ink jet printers use the colored ink even when set on monochrome and it really increases your printing costs to have to buy them. So far this has been a reliable and less expensive alternative than an ink jet.
Bought a few years back. Excellent features for a good price but not idiot-proof. Great for technically savvy users on a budget!

Summary: I bought an MF4370DN for my family in November 2009. My family is all Windows (mostly XP SP3) on the desktop. This may change some day - but I have not tested with Linux/BSD or Mac OS X in the meantime. Pros + Lots of features for a sub-$200 multi-function (fast black and white printing, duplex/back-to-back, network connection, network fax, network scan) + Network scanning is FAST under Win7 x64 with freeware scanning program (see below) + Toner cartridges are reasonable...
