Summary: I was told to update the firmware. When I tried to run the the firmware update program for this , it said the update software was not compatible with Windows 7. Even though the download page said it was and the title of the .exe had Win7 in it.
Pros: Great printer and stand alone copier!!
Cons: Will not scan over the network, wasted a whole day on this and it is so slow and complicated that it is not worth the effort. You have to go to the machine manually tell it to scan, and which port you want to scan with, the network or the USB. And when you are done you have to go back to the mach...
Cons: DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED. The scanner only supports scanning up to 300dpi over the network. I scanned several documents in Adobe Acrobat at its highest resolution (300dpi) and they looked like garbage. I called Canon tech support and they confirmed the limit for scanning over the network. They...
Summary: Do not buy a Canon MF 4370DN if you want to use it with a Mac. Before buying this machine, I read a number of reviews saying that Canon had solved its former issues that kept most of their printers/scanners from working well with Apple computers. In my experience, that's simply untrue.
Summary: if you are just looking for a basic printer, this is fine. If you are looking for network scanning capability look elsewhere because the network scanning ability of this printer is very close to useless.
Summary: First off, I am NOT new to the installing / setting-up of printers, so please take my word for it... This multifunction piece of machinery is a total piece of junk. It is completely useless to anyone running Snow Leopard.
Summary: You cannot scan a multi-page document from the Automatic Document Feeder to a single PDF file (with a USB connection) on Mac OS X 10.6. You get one PDF file per page. This means that when you scan a 20 page document from the ADF you get 20 different PDF files.
Bought for $140 on sale, still not really worth it...

Summary: PROS:: I mean, this thing prints fast, scans fast, and does just about anything else fast. I paid $140. Looks shnazzy. Built-in network support. CONS:: It almost NEVER prints completely straight, even after the paper is tightly nestled on the tray. The ink tends to bleed/splatter every 40-50 pages.
Summary: This machine works great except for one problem, it gives the out of toner message unless the toner cartridge is brand new. Then you have to shake the cartridge and maybe it will print, we are tired of this so we will be getting a new non-canon machine.
