out of toner message all the time
21 March 2012
Summary: This machine works great except for one problem, it gives the out of toner message unless the toner cartridge is brand new. Then you have to shake the cartridge and maybe it will print, we are tired of this so we will be getting a new non-canon machine.
Summary: I have had this printer for about 3 years, and never had a problem. I only remember it jamming once. The duplex system is very good, seems to line up quite well every time. I probably print 75-100 pages per month and besides the starter toner I have bought toner twice..
Summary: I'll make this short and sweet. This is the third printer (same model) I've purchased for my business. I was so impressed by my original purchase that I got one for my assistant and just bought this one for my second office location.
Summary: The Cannon monochrome copier faxes at lightning speed, and does a great job of copies. The best thing about it is that it uses only black ink. I've found that colored ink jet printers use the colored ink even when set on monochrome and it really increases your printing costs to have to buy them.
Bought a few years back. Excellent features for a good price but not idiot-proof. Great for technically savvy users on a budget!

Summary: I bought an MF4370DN for my family in November 2009. My family is all Windows (mostly XP SP3) on the desktop. This may change some day - but I have not tested with Linux/BSD or Mac OS X in the meantime.
Summary: Ok, the saga is finally over. We received the original machine from "Vegasmark" (advise against buying from them) and it came out of the box groaning. Actually, every page thru the machine caused a load groan. Seller would not honor a return, as he said he had no more for an exchange.
Summary: This printer is great if you have Windows. It can print, scan, and fax either via USB or the network port. However, Canon's Mac support really stinks. I can't get the printer to print reliably and have to instal the printer each time that I want to print on my work Mac Pro laptop.
Bought for $140 on sale, still not really worth it...

Summary: PROS:: I mean, this thing prints fast, scans fast, and does just about anything else fast. I paid $140. Looks shnazzy. Built-in network support. CONS:: It almost NEVER prints completely straight, even after the paper is tightly nestled on the tray. The ink tends to bleed/splatter every 40-50 pages.
Summary: if you are just looking for a basic printer, this is fine. If you are looking for network scanning capability look elsewhere because the network scanning ability of this printer is very close to useless.
