out of toner message all the time

Summary: This machine works great except for one problem, it gives the out of toner message unless the toner cartridge is brand new. Then you have to shake the cartridge and maybe it will print, we are tired of this so we will be getting a new non-canon machine.
Summary: I'll make this short and sweet. This is the third printer (same model) I've purchased for my business. I was so impressed by my original purchase that I got one for my assistant and just bought this one for my second office location. You will love this machine, plus the Technical Support is located in New York and they're friendly, knowledgeable and get any potential issue solved the first time. I don't have any Macs, so I'm unable to rate the printer on that attribute.
Summary: The Cannon monochrome copier faxes at lightning speed, and does a great job of copies. The best thing about it is that it uses only black ink. I've found that colored ink jet printers use the colored ink even when set on monochrome and it really increases your printing costs to have to buy them. So far this has been a reliable and less expensive alternative than an ink jet.
Bought for $140 on sale, still not really worth it...

Summary: PROS:: I mean, this thing prints fast, scans fast, and does just about anything else fast. I paid $140. Looks shnazzy. Built-in network support. CONS:: It almost NEVER prints completely straight, even after the paper is tightly nestled on the tray. The ink tends to bleed/splatter every 40-50 pages. THE ERRORS it throws up are pure garbage/annoying. NOT TO MENTION THIS THING THROWS THE 'low toner' ERROR AFTER I JUST REPLACED IT 4 WEEKS AGO.
As a basic network printer it seems decent for the price (PC)

Summary: Owned this printer about a year. I've never used the scan nor using it to SEND faxes so I cannot comment on those. For basic copying it seems to work just fine. For basic network printing (PC) and receiving faxes it seems to work as expected about 95% of the time. Three computers at home share this printer over the network, two are WiFi one is wired. But every now and then it will not print nor receive a fax, it is very odd.
Summary: I am disappointed overall. The scanning does not work for window7 64 just for 32. Mac can fax but must use USB cable, and if you use the autofeeder, you see blank, need to put it on the flat mode, one by one. I don't know why the mac can't print, saying that "no recipient list added." The issue does not happen to window. Well, overall this one is a mess now. I bought it in hope of replacing all mine printers now but it it just can't.
Summary: Bought this printer for a home office where I do tax & accounting work. I utilize it quite a bit for digitizing documentation. Works very well. Software included is good but a bit limited, so I had to pick up Adobe Acrobat to truly manipulate, combine, replace pages, etc in assembling my pdf documents. Other than that it works great, is silent when not being used and as quiet as could be expected when printing, scanning, and copying while sitting on my desk.
Summary: I absolutely love this printer. It is amazingly fast, especially with the first page out as it claims. It is very quiet compared to my previous Dell laser (1100) or my new . The duplex (2-sided printing) works perfectly on my plain paper. It effortlessly connects to your network (wired only). Computers on the network can easily install it & use it (Windows & Mac). This printer is perfect, assuming monochrome is okay for you.
