Pros: Fast warm up, fast print. Good and reasonable speed document feed scanner. No jams yet except for staples... Better than the brother that it replaced (does not cause the lights to dim when warming up and better print quality). For the price great.
Cons: Wish it had a big red cancel/stop/reset button for when things go wrong.
Summary: I rarely print photos anymore... and now I can get them professionally printed for a few cents each.... so why fool around with all that cost and complexity for color inkjet in the home office... this thing does it with a huge bang for the buck...
Pros: -instant startup, if it's in power saving mode, and you put a document in the ADF to copy, and press copy, it instantly scans and prints with no delay, a one page copy from cold takes about 4-5 seconds... amazing for anything under $600 -very fast print speed for the money -solid build quality -v...
Cons: - toner cartridges are combined with the drum and are a bit expensive, but not crazy and per sheet cost is still good for laser - no scan from network, but curiously can scan to a usb key
Pros: I have this printer on my desk next to me, plugged into my D630 Win XP machine via USB2. Software setup is as easy as it gets. It prints almost immediately from energy saver mode, scans very quickly directly into Adobe acrobat, photoshop, etc via windows WIA or Canon twain drivers. I do alot of s...
Summary: Didn't buy at Newegg, bought at local office supply store. The price was very reasonable. Haven't used the fax function, but assume no problems (I don't have a land line, just a cellular). Would have been nice having color printing, but that is what my photo printer is for.
Pros: Very good AIO for home-office. Network printing works ok. Seems ok on toner, still using the starter cart after 2 months of use. Automatic duplexing saves on paper. Can use without PC if you just want copy/fax capabilities.
Cons: You cannot scan or fax over the network, so if you need this option, look elsewhere. I can get by without network scanning. My wireless laptop has no problem printing docs. Comes with starter cartridge instead of full ink cartridge, but after 2 months still shows half full. I have noticed that if...
Summary: I think this is about 3 years old, maybe 4 and we still use this and are happy. I have gone through more toner than I can count over the years and the only repair I have had is something I broke.
Directly connected to a PC, this printer is a winner

Summary: This printer replaced our old reliable HP 4L. It was time to upgrade to something that could do duplex printing. Finally there is a reasonably priced duplex printer available and the Canon MF4270 is it. The other big selling point was that it could do simple copying without involving the computer.
Summary: I used to have a Dell printer and had many problems with it--especially with paper jams. Dell Service was horrible. I did a lot of research online before buying a new one. The Canon MF4270 is so much better than my Dell printer. It is faster, quieter and doesn't jam.
Summary: Have not tested Linux functionality yet but will do so and post a follow-up. This replaced a Lexmark Optra series printer I have in my home office. For it's footprint I really can't imagine a better performing multifunction laser printer.
Pros: I used to service Laser printers back in the mid/late 90's and I must say this printer has been an absolute joy since day one. I don't think I've ever seen a better Quick Start guide for a printer. Very clear directions, covers network setup and installation perfectly. Very easy to navigate menu ...
