Summary: I think this is about 3 years old, maybe 4 and we still use this and are happy. I have gone through more toner than I can count over the years and the only repair I have had is something I broke.
Summary: The most EFFICIENT printer ever used. Fast faxes. Fast print times. No jams. Hardly ever have to change the toner cartridge. Does what I tell it to do. Doesn't mouth off. Doesn't deny me on a Friday night. Best thing since sliced bread. Love it.
Summary: I bought this Canon Image Class MF4270 All-In-One Laser Printer to replace three printers. It is a great machine loaded with features in a relatively small footprint. It is a fast laser printer with built-in duplex printing capability. The fax and copy features are easy to use and setup. The automatic document feed or flat bed scanning is quick with just a touch of button. It is network ready or can be connected via USB.

Summary: I used to have a Dell printer and had many problems with it--especially with paper jams. Dell Service was horrible. I did a lot of research online before buying a new one. The Canon MF4270 is so much better than my Dell printer. It is faster, quieter and doesn't jam. I especially like the Energy Save feature. And when I called Canon Service for a technical question I received professional and courteous help quickly. I highly recommend this printer.
Directly connected to a PC, this printer is a winner

Summary: This printer replaced our old reliable HP 4L. It was time to upgrade to something that could do duplex printing. Finally there is a reasonably priced duplex printer available and the Canon MF4270 is it. The other big selling point was that it could do simple copying without involving the computer. With the 4L, I had to start up a scanner program, scan the image, and then print it out from the PC.
Summary: set the mf4270 up USB on an XP machine to get all the scanning functions, took about 15 minutes. software is very basic but it all works. scanning, faxing and printing are all very, very fast. print is crisp. machine is really quiet in all modes. adf works well, just wish it had auto duplex scanning to match the duplex printing (2 sided original to 2 sided copy). machine goes to sleep in a few minutes but wakes up instantly. excellent machine, especially for the price.
