Summary: Took a bit of getting used to all the button punching to get to features, but once I got my most-used patterns down, that ceased to be an issue. One thing that is a continual inconvenience is that there is a REALLY wide margin around the edges, and it cuts off critical information when copying documents that don't give the luxury of much margin to work around.
Summary: This rating applies to persons using this printer with an Apple Macintosh computer. The software and drivers provided by Canon make it difficult to use this printer in an office environment. There is very little control over how the printer operates. For example, if you want to print from the bypass tray, you have to walk over to the printer and confirm that choice. It should be controlled from the printer.
Excerpt: This unit prints great - great quality, speed, nice features. The scanning is terrible. Only scans 300 via document feeder and 600 via glass. If you have anything handwritten on the paper you are scanning it does not show up at all. I returned the printer because I do a lot of scanning. The unit I ended up with (not a Canon) scans 300 via document feeder and up to 1200 via glass.
Excerpt: SPEND COUPLE OF HUNDRED MORE AND GET THE D1370 WHICH WILL LET YOU SCAN TO THE NETWORKED DRIVE WITHOUT A MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE ON A WINDOWS PC. ALSO BE AWARE OF ADORAMA RETURN POLICIES - THEY WONT TAKE OPENED BOXES BACK - UNLIKE OTHER ONLINE PLACES - EVEN WHEN I OFFERED A RESTOCKING FEE
