Summary: Bought this in 2014 as a spare in case my main machine breaks down,2 months ago we opened the box and started using this printer , now it broke down in less than 3 months .we called the seller and were told that they can not help because it was bought more than one year ago !?
Canon dealers won't service this model. You are on your own if it breaks down with any problem.

Summary: Works great for about 2 months then lost ability to print to 2 sides then finally print at all around 8 months. The kicker is NO CANON DEALER WILL SERVICE THIS SPECIFIC MODEL. I CALLED 6 AND GAVE THEM THE MODEL NUMBER AND THEY SAID "WE DO NOT SERVICE THAT MODEL AND NO ONE ELSE DOES EITHER.
Summary: The cartridges are supposed to be good for 5000 pages. The one that comes with it is a 'Starter' cartridge which is only good for 2000 pages. After 1500 pages it started nagging us with the 'Prepare Cartridge' message (meaning take it out and shake it to redistribute the toner) on the console.
Summary: We purchased this machine and 30 days later it was making a weird noise and jamming like crazy. I returned it to get another mailed out and the exact thing occurred in the same amount of time of recieving this machine. Do not waste your time.
Summary: Canon is supposed to be a good company for printers and copiers, but this model is the absolute worst ever! Using the multi purpose tray requires answering the "beep" each and every time you want to print an envelope if you have the default set to "auto", I can use the MP tray to print checks and...
