Summary: I accept the fact that many of these copy machines have a life span of 2 years and then need replacing. But a life span of 2 weeks seems sparse. The paper feeder started to malfunction after 2 weeks of very light use. Needless to say, I returned the product. While Brother copiers at similar price points are not much better, at least they can withstand a good 18-24 months or moderate use.

Summary: Bought this machine in October 2013. In November 2014, it began to display issues with freezing and not responding. Calls to Canon resulted in instructions to unplug the unit, wait a couple of minutes, and then restart. Now it won't start at all, local repair shop said motherboard is shot, and suggested we talk to Canon. They indicated warranty has expired and they are sorry.
Conclusion: Had this printer for a total of 6 weeks; purchased in January 2014. This printer will sporadically produce copies that are crooked in nature. Whether using the top loader or traditional scanning function, pages will come out crooked (rotated to the right). I will not purchase another Canon imageClass.
Summary: About every 10 pages it will not pick up the paper from the tray and I have to open the tray, open the toner cover, and restart again. I have tried several different types of paper and get the same results. My advice is to save the box and packing so you can send it back. Other than that, it would be the perfect scanner, printer and copier.
