Produces beautiful quality prints BUT has such awful software

Summary: Produces beautiful quality prints BUT has such awful software. The scanning software is just dire. We often resort to scanning on our HP machine which is just so much easier. Not very intuitive to use, you get used to it of course but Canon please take a leaf out of HP's book for easy to use software. We wouldn't buy another one.
The worst printer come nothing else product in the world

Summary: The disks would not work with windows 8, it took weeks of effort to get it to work by repeatedly phoning canon, and now with windows 8.1, the monstrosity is again not scanning. What an awful product, I cannot believe Canon would sell something so dreadful, and the on-line booklet is useless, and beyond comprehension in its lack of information.
Summary: The printer is very good with a useful duplex set as default. Difficult to install on Windows 8 so I had to go to Canon website and download drivers and manual from there. This meant the setup was not conventional but I still got there in the end - and I'm not an IT genius at all. I must admit that I thought this had wireless printing facility but it hasn't - so be careful. Good quality printing though so overall pleased.
Summary: Perfect (so far - only had it a few months). Prints brilliantly and quickly over the network, but works like a fast and simple photocopier if you want to scan something. And the sheet feeder is magnificently quick, and default duplexing saves costs. Have so far only had to slap in a black cartridge, which wasn't too expensive. Can't fault it at all. As long as this lasts, this will definitely be our Best. Printer. Ever.
