Summary: From my experience, I'd recommend you install it using an ethernet cable unless you're extremely close to your wireless router. I look at the price and can't help but think I got a sweet bargain! I paid $200 for this printer and toner and now the price is $400+!
Pros: Good speed, not too heavy, and has all the necessary components of a base office printer. When this printer works, it works well.
Cons: An annoying thing happens when the printer loses connection to your WiFi router. It will reset to some default IP address and it's a pain in the rear end to reconnect and set everything up again. This happens a lot now days since my router was a bit old and tends to restart when too many devices ...
Pros: Small footprint. Very satisfied with ease of installation. In the past, I had always hooked my printers up with a USB cable. I was amazed and very pleased with the simplicity and accurateness of the instructions for a wireless install. I am plus 70 senior and I was able to install without hitch.
Summary: I had Canon MF4270 failed recently and MF4890dw is definitely a great upgrade. No issue unpacking, easy installation, more functions, duplex printing, scanning and copying. The only problem is the starter cartridge low, which get warning on the first print.
Fine if you intend to use USB but wireless network is a pain on OSX 10.9 and Win8.1

Summary: Got this printer because my old samsung laser was having problems setting up on wifi. I needed a laser printer with scanning that works over wifi and could be setup on both a Mac (OSX10.9) and a PC (Windows 8.1) and this seemed to fit the bill.
Summary: So I bought this printer after owning several inkject printers hoping this will not drive me crazy, and I can rely on printing a page whenever I need to. I had it for a few months during which I used it very lightly and only printed less than a total of 50 pages.
Summary: Pros: Everything works as expected. Con: If you start scanning from the desktop software, you have to first remember to turn on "Remote Scanner" on the printer before it will allow to scan from the network.
Summary: I've had 'em all through the years and this is as good as the best. Had one of the first HP Laser printers then upgraded to the next HP both good work horses and just would not quit. Later installed some Brother Lasers for friends and found them to be good and with good support.
Summary: Bought this to replace Brother multifunction which started to fail mostly as an office printer and scanner. * If you are installing on Windows 7 do not use the install CD - you need to download the latest MF Toolbox from Canon's website.
