Summary: I had to install the software for this printer to a new computer, at that point I already had it installed on a previous computer so all the warning labels were removed. If by chance you plug in the USB port from the printer into your computer BEFORE you install the software you are out of luck. Nothing I could do to uninstall / re-install the software would work. Why is it so hard for a large company like Cannon to make a PLUG AND PLAY printer?! Be warned!
Summary: I recently needed to replace my Canon Imageclass MF4350d...a peach of a machine, easy to operate, dependable, a real workhorse. Anyway, I decided on the ImageClass MF4450. It's a little smaller and my office space is rapidly shrinking so that was a plus for me. It was delivered promptly, in good condition. I pulled it out of the box and within about 25 minutes it was set up and the software and drivers downloaded, no problems.
Summary: As a USB printer, this Canon is fine. That is to say, it does what you'll need it to do, though its slightly jumbo size and overall ugliness kind of make your eyes hurt. And the fax set-up is just weird, but maybe if I'd spent more time on that it wouldn't have kept answering my phone unexpectedly. But what disappointed me the most is how lousy the wireless Mac network experience is.
