Summary: I was excited to get this printer installed as I had been looking for a small multi function laser printer for a while. I tried installing this on my windows 7 desktop. Everything seemed ok, then I tried to print....nothing. Scanner worked but wouldnt print at all. Tried it on my windows 7 netbook...same result. Wouldnt print at all. Tried it on my girlfriend's windows 8 laptop...everything works fine.
Summary: I bought it for New Year. I 28 days turn on /turn off button stop working. I was trying to exchange with Amazon but Amazon said they do not have this product in stock in spite of the fact that they do have. Very strange. I had to call Canon. I will be sending Refurbished Printer. It is a very unfortunate having brand new printer for 28 days and get refurbished one after.
Summary: Kept completely crashing my PC after trying to print more than a page or two. Could not recover the Credit Report service I was using to print a 10 page report after the crash. What a disappointment. Canon folks were quick to identify paper feed problem and ship out a replacement and no cost to return this malfunctioning shelf occupier.
Summary: Wow. Barely got this thing out of the box, was going through the set-up procedure, and the paper jammed right away. The paper jam icon began flashing and since there wasn't any trouble-shooting documentation in the package, I called the Canon Tech Help line. There I was told that because the paper jam icon was flashing the unit needed to be returned or repaired.
Summary: Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer (5252B001AA) This printer does not connect to my new Mac Book Air computer. I originally brought it when using a Dell computer. I am disappointed that the hook-up to my Mac is impossible.
Summary: It's a win printer. Linux support is poor - Canon does supply a driver, but I had to wade through Canon support sites in other markets, does not support the scanner, and the current driver (2.60) doesn't appear to support duplexing which the previous driver did. I will not buy another Canon printer/scanner product, as they have one of the worst Linux support records in the industry, and it's essential to my needs.
Summary: I have not been able to get this printer to work with the latest version of OSX Lion on a 2011 Mac Mini. I've download the correct drivers, installed them and installed the printer with the Print and Fax System Preferences. The Mac sees the printer and I can copy with it but whenever I try to print I get this error. /Library/Printers/Canon/CUPSCMFP/Bins/capdftopdl failed So far Canon's support has not been any help.
