Summary: This is a wonderful little printer! I couldn't be happier with it. Just got through printing 100 return envelopes and the print was crisp and clear and they looked like they were professionally printed. I love the scanner feature also and being able to make photocopies with it. For under $90 you can't beat this printer. Also, set up was very easy and the printer is very user-friendly. I highly recommend it!
Summary: NOT happy with this purchase. I bought this to DIY my wedding invites and it has been trouble since it arrived. It was quite troublesome to install, it crashed my computer twice. Once I got it installed, the quality in which it printed my invited was awful. I even set the printer to the cardstock option but it didn't solve the issue. I will be returning this printer.
Summary: This printer is awesome! I had a Canon MP500 for 5+ years. I had it replaced with this printer. I'm glad I switched to laser. My old ink printer I would have to shell out a whooping $150 for ink. Refilling didn't quite last as long. I'm very satisfied with this printer.
Pros: * Space Saving *Fast printing *Scanner *Cheap *High Quality Prints The scanning quality is good. All I really need is 600 dpi. Anything bigger isn't for me, I just needed a basic scanner. Good design. It's a modern looking printer. Fits well with any modern home office or business.
Summary: I LOVE THIS PRINTER!! This is actually my second Canon MF3010 - I gave the other one to my son, and purchased the same thing for myself. For the price especially, this black/white printer is great quality, and a total workhorse of a printer. It never breaks down, has great quality, and has the added features described - particularly helpful to scan documents into your computer or just make photocopies.
Summary: must use lower-case.... i am extremely happy with it so far. the instructions made it look difficult but once i made 2 copies using each feature -print, copy, scan - i no longer needed the manual. people who rated it less than 5 stars must have received a damaged/broken machine or didn't read the instructions word-for-word/very carefully. keep in mind, i've only used about 25 sheets of paper -- maybe my evaluation will change in the future but maybe not.
Summary: Plug it in and presto! Works! Did have to go to Canon website to get their drivers, as those on DVD wouldn't install, minor gotcha. Do follow the setup instructions to be certain you get all the little parts from packaging out before use, they're everywhere.
Summary: None. But discovered it can support older printer driver. Perfect! In case I buy a old Mac!
Pros: Great printer. Great quality. Canon is better on the software than the Epson software. Much simple, and even allowed me to save my documents as PDFS which ?Epson printer don't do that. So I'm keeping this.
Cons: Price of ink cartridges... yikes. 70 dollars for a toner cartridge. But I'll accept it.
Summary: If you need a printer for your home office or a backup for your work. Buy it.
Pros: I bought this printer on sale off of here after having tons of issues with standard printers, running out of ink, etc. I have used this printer for over a year going through boxes and boxes of paper printing loan contracts and have had zero issues. Refurb toner on is 15 dollars and can yield 1500-3k sheets. Very fast, very reliable. Definately worth it. The display seems to old but actually works out better once you figure it out.
Cons: Plug and play set-up. Took me awhile and reading other reviews to figure out where all of the protective plastic is inside the printer and cartridge to remove for it to work. The buttons and display makes it look very old but actually works out better in the long run.
