Excerpt: Got this printer for a business woman who's here on a working vacation. The constant loss of wireless connectivity was a cause of great aggravation. I was repeatedly unloading/reloading the driver. The quality of the printout was excellent when working, though.
Excerpt: It's a nice printer but the wireless set up is not easy. I still can't print from my phone, which is one of the reasons I bought it. Doesn't come with the USB printer cable, cost me $15 more for that.
Excerpt: I loved everything about this printer except the print quality. The print quality was awful. It was like I wrote in pencil, and if I chose best quality, it took a very long time to print and only came out as good as draft quality on my HP printer. I would not recommend this printer.
Summary: So far so good with this printer. I have it printing wirelessly on the desk top, the ipad and the iPhone. Ink is the big question in inkjet printers. Brother uses only four color/cartriges, which are available in aftermarket brands at a reasonable price. In other words, the printer people make their money on the ink they sell.
Summary: I bought this for the many features it had and the fact there is an app for windows phone 8. However, print quality is not that great. My printouts came out dull and jagged. Everything else is great. Set up was easier than expected via wifi. If it wasn't for the print quality, I would have kept it.
Excerpt: Does a lot for the money, like printing on both sides of the paper and printing on discs. Haven't used either yet however. The color is just not as vibrant as the HP it replaced. Tried some adjustments but still not happy with the results. Good printer for the money. Probably will never print on a disc. Recomended conditionally.
It's okay...only time will tell if it was worth the investment.

Summary: I've only rated this three stars due to my initial impressions. I'm using OS Windows 8.1. The main thing I don't like about this machine is the cheap flimsy plastic used. I don't like the location of the power plug which is to the left of the machine instead of in the back. I don't like the flimsy lid and the flimsy plastic arm that holds it up that you have to jiggle to put back down. The print quality of the initial photo I printed was fair.
Excerpt: Great price, inexpensive ink refills also. Loads of features. Called Brother several times before and after purchase. They don't know the differences between their models. I should have known then but purchased one anyway. On the third or fourth call I finally got a rep who knew her stuff and was able to help me pick a printer. Otherwise I was put on hold a lot then given vague incorrect answers on the differences between models.
