So far this works well with my OS 10.7 iMAC

Darren Charles Brown, Amazon

  • Summary: I cautiously give this product a 4 star rating because, as a MAC user, I didn't encounter the problems some of the other reviewers did. By the recommendation of one reviewer I didn't use the CD it came with, instead I downloaded the drivers from the Brothers website first THEN turned on the printer, from there it was an easy set up. The biggest plus so far is the ink levels. After printing four 4X6 photos, the ink levels remained pretty high. No negatives so far..

  • Summary: excelent printer , very quite and the response is quick a good buy for the money. I had used the photo papers sent with the printer and found that it is an average photo printer with not very good photo printing.

Excellent value - solid performance

Joel D, Amazon

  • Summary: I have had great success with several printer/fax/scanners in the Brother MFC series. They are reasonably priced (often on sale) and do what they are supposed to. This model is no exception. Printout quality (of both color and B&W jobs) is plenty good for my needs. My only objection is this model's requirement that it be set to receive data either by USB cable or by wireless signal.

Quiet printer with many features.

J Quinlan, Amazon

  • Summary: Another device that tries to be all things to all buyers. The printer comes with fax, scanner and copier capabilities, making it a good machine for the price. I have to ask whether these days there are many people who still want fax, since a lot of us have given up land phone lines. I would have preferred a device without fax but did not see one in my price range.

A great printer - but...

  • Summary: The MFC-J825DW is an impressive printer (for the money). It's a solidly built machine - unlike many others that feel feather-weight and flimsy. It's pretty quiet when priming its print head for example; which in my experience informs me the critical pieces in it's construction are made of metal, rather than plastic.

Amazing Printer

  • Summary: I love this printer! I have it wirelessly networked to all of our devices and it works flawlessly (desktop, laptops, android and iphone, tablet, etc...). It was VERY easy to set up!!! I cannot stress how easy it was. This printer prints beautiful photo, better than the ones I had from CVS and Walgreen's.

Just purchased the Brother

  • Summary: I figure it is my time to give back and make some reviews. I purchased this printer today from Staples. The unit looks sleek, appears to be simple to use, and of course has all the bells and whistles. I did call customer service for clarity on the owner's manual direction which is very difficult to understand. After numerous department prompts, I was advised I would be answered in the next order received; my time estimate was 14 min.

MFC825DW - So Far, So Good!

Elifino, Amazon
29 November 2011
  • Summary: I was searching for a replacement of my HP C309g-n which was a worthless printer if you want to print wirelessly (don't buy the HP C309g-n!) Oh! About the Brother... I just purchased it today and had it installed and working without a glitch. The HP (did I mention it consider it worthless for wireless printing!) would take 10 minutes to print a single page, but this printer handled it with ease! What a relief!
