Summary: The printer is designed to double to quadruple your printing costs and conveniently make the manufacturers richer. Here is why: 1. You cannot use the machine unless you have all 4 ink cartridges inserted (black, yellow, magenta, cyan). So yes, you are required to purchase all 4 ink cartridges even if you are only planning to print black and white. But wait, it gets worse. 2. The machine "auto-cleans" itself (at 3 a.m.
Owned this printer for a year... Not a smart purchase!

Summary: Ive owned this Brother MFCJ825DW for a little over a year and I have to say it is the worst printer I have ever owned. Everytime I use it, I want to act out a scene from "Office Space". Sometimes it falls off my wireless network for no reason at all. Most times it just chooses to be "offline" instead of just being on standby mode. I have to walk over to it and turn it off and back on again and then it starts to print.
Summary: I am returning this to Amazon tomorrow. Spent 4-5 hours over 2 days with Brother support trying to install, actually on 2 HP PCs but it would not load on either. Brother customer service blamed the Windows 7 systems and suggested to call HP which I did and their reps blamed Brother. Final verdict from Brother was that it's not compatible with Windows 7, doesn't make any sense to me.
Summary: After researching for a couple of months I decided to purchase this considering the reviews were good and the reasonable cost for what I was looking for. When I received the printer I wasn't ecstatic about the print quality on this, I have had Dell printers (that sucked) that printer so much better. Throughout the short time I have had issues such as not connecting with my devices, ink quality and number of pages to ink cartridge fairly low.

Summary: The price is right for this printer and the resulting output reflects the price. As we all know, manufacturers and retailers make huge profits on the sale of ink and this particular printer must be making Brother and Amazon a lot of money. The wi-fi works great and the print quality is good. The problems are in paper handling and how the printer handles errors.
Summary: This was my second Brother printer. Loved the first one but this one has constant paper jams to the point that I trashed it and bought from another manufacturer. Had no problems with USB set-up or print quality, it just jammed up constantly with normal 8.5x11 paper no matter how full the feeder was. Disappointing.
Summary: AVOID BROTHER PRINTERS! Brother will NOT provide support on ANY issue if you don't buy Brother toner cartridges and ONLY Brother toner cartridges. I had a problem with the SCANNER and they refused to provide ANY support because I had an after-market TONER cartridge. The TONER cartridge has NOTHING to do with the SCANNER! AVOID BROTHER PRINTERS!
Summary: Used the printer two weeks, tried to do two sided printing and the machine has not worked since. Support has not been very helpful. I am ready to throw it out and just buy an HP or something else.
Summary: Yeah, that about sums it up >.< It's pretty terrible. The cd claimed it had Win7 on it, and it installed fine on a laptop, but I had to fight it for two hours to do anything with it on a desktop PC. I installed it from the Brother site, but yeah.. if you want a printer, go somewhere else.
Summary: Just wanted to let anyone considering this printer know... I read the positive reviews and was confident in ordering this particular printer (have a Brother laser printer that I love). However, my experience was two days of frustration with constant paper jams. I tried different paper, and thickness, but to no avail. I returned the printer. This review is specifically for the printer, hence the one star.
