Summary: This Brother printer is good. Easy to make a copy and very fast compared to the MFC-440 printer that I had. The Touch-Screen took me only couple of day to get used to. Also it prints good pictures on standard 20 lb paper. Never intended to use the fax part.
Summary: Excellent print for my mothers needs. The pages are sharp and crisp and although I didn't purchase it for its photo copying abilities ( shutterfly is actually a bit cheaper per copy in my opinion ) the photo reproduction has exceeded my expectations.
Installation problems worsened by *terrible* customer service

Summary: The short: I would not buy this printer again - or any other Brother product, for that matter - simply on principle. It may be a fine printer, but I wouldn't know because I'm 3 hours and two calls to customer support (paraphrased: "the problem is your computer, not our printer") into the installation process and it still is not working with my Windows 7 computer. As such I've yet to print with it. And I'm not the only one...type "How do I fix a 0x00000704 error?
Summary: I am very pleased with this printer, it is just what I need when preparing materials for my Deacon Family Ministry. I hesitated on buying another Brother printer because for whatever reason the old one stopped communicating with my computer, no matter what I tried. This printer has been a real blessing.
Owned this printer for a year... Not a smart purchase!

Summary: Ive owned this Brother MFCJ825DW for a little over a year and I have to say it is the worst printer I have ever owned. Everytime I use it, I want to act out a scene from "Office Space". Sometimes it falls off my wireless network for no reason at all. Most times it just chooses to be "offline" instead of just being on standby mode. I have to walk over to it and turn it off and back on again and then it starts to print.
Summary: I cautiously give this product a 4 star rating because, as a MAC user, I didn't encounter the problems some of the other reviewers did. By the recommendation of one reviewer I didn't use the CD it came with, instead I downloaded the drivers from the Brothers website first THEN turned on the printer, from there it was an easy set up. The biggest plus so far is the ink levels. After printing four 4X6 photos, the ink levels remained pretty high. No negatives so far..
Summary: This a great printer, it is also listed on consumer reports as one of the better one also the ink is cheaper. I would recommend to anyone. You can print on both sides of paper, print from your phone it just has great qualities.
