Excerpt: I don't have it long enough to form a solid opinion but so far it is very nice. Set up was a bit confusing but Brother Customer Service Techs are wonderful. I had to connect three computers to the printer and not being very tech savvy I was lost but then was found!! I can't say enough about them. The machine is solid and very easy to use. It performs a multitude of functions.
Excerpt: After my last Brother MFC died we looked at quite a few options for our small business. This one has the 11X17" capability without having to change paper, in my business a must. I wish the touch screen was a little easier to use. It's overly sensitive so when you scroll through copy options it's cruises right passed what your looking for and you have to go back a forth a few times. It should just have it in maybe a drop list or something.
Excerpt: This Brother model MFC - J6920DW color inkjet does what is says it does with ease. Response time from command to finish print is fairly fast. Color quality is good. Faxing and scanning are easy.I have three printers. this picks up the others cannot do. The cost of ink is better than its competition but still expensive. Bought the Brother on sales & had 15% discount which helped bring down the cost in replacing my HP all in one.
Summary: We purchased this printer to replace an older Brother printer that we owned since 2009. That printer did not have the duplex print function and because we homeschool and print a lot of worksheets, duplex printing was pretty important to us. One thing to consider when purchasing a Brother Printer is that Brother printers seem to be awfully fickle when it comes to connecting them to the computer.
Summary: Setup was easy and the print is great. I have already used the 11x17 printing and it works fine. I bought this to replace my laser printer since the drum is about out and you know how expensive that is. There does seem to be a delay in printing the first page. My old laser printer actually puts out documents faster than this printer. I have not compared the draft mode though. Draft mode may be quicker but that is not my normal print mode.
Excerpt: Had hoped to use the printer for duplex color printing--several problems.. Although it does do duplex printing, you have to print one side, then reinsert paper for second side. Also, color appear very weak--not vibrant at all. Envelope feed jams. Not at all pleased and would return, but missed the 14 day return window before realizing deficiencies--now at 21 days!!
Caution! Does not do envelopes or print quality well

Summary: This printer has two main faults. (1) The print quality is poor. (2) It does not print envelops well. I spent over an hour feeding envelops into the paper feeder in any number of ways, took out paper jams, followed the paper jam instructions step by step and still was not able to get anything to print on an envelope without more jamming. Finally, I had to give up. If I had to do it all over all again, I would not buy this printer.
Summary: My main complaint is the manual feed. I knew it only fed one sheet at a time but it has trouble feeding envelopes, even one at a time. One out of 3 gets printed then it is usually at a slant. If it doesn't recognize the envelope in the manual feeder (even after the touch screen notes that it is in the manual feed slot) it will send paper from the tray or send an error message. I have wasted a lot of paper and envelopes trying to get it to work.
Summary: This printer is quite a deal. It was really easy to set up and it can do everything. I love the large printing and scanning and on decent paper photos look good. Love the wireless printing and the printing from my phone was pretty nifty also. The biggest plus about this printer is the price of the ink refills. This printer is the tiniest bit more pricey than other ones but you will save so so much on ink for its entire life time.
