Summary: This is a decent printer scanner for the price. It's not great quality, but it's nice to be able to print and scan at 11x17. Be warned though, this printer has some frustrating issues that will prevent me from ever buying a Brother printer again: -It cleans itself late at night, even if it has been switched off, which slowly uses ink. -It will not print if it does not have ink in all cartridges.
Summary: This Brother unit is slow at printing 11x17 drawings, it has constant issues with paper jams, seems somewhat misreprensted by using the word "Business" in it's title, should of been listed as "Home Inkjet" instead. I do not recommend for businesses, but would be adequate for home.
Summary: I have an earlier MFC printer/fax/scanner and it was a piece of junk. Worked great for about the first month then the paper tray became permanently jammed each time I loaded new paper. I had to call my husband who would shake the tray out violently. Constant paper jams as well where I would have to open up the back of the machine and dig out shredded paper.
Summary: I have had two other Brother all-in-one MFC units. This one is 11x17 format and the functions work well except for it losing the wireless connection (7 times now)and I try loading newer Brother drivers and software. Not happy with this Brother.
Summary: There is a problem with this printer's color management. Trouble shooting tips do not match up to printer options on Mac OS 10.6 programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, or Acrobat. Took tech support several hour, 5 different people and two days to help me adjust colors on Photoshop, but still nothing that could be permanently set.
Summary: I bought this printer because of its claim that it could print 11X17 prints. These sheets, when I load them and try to print, jam up the printer every single time. The letter size printing and scanning is fine, but if you are thinking of buying this for larger prints, please do not because this product doesnot do what it claims.
Summary: its not worth the money its made with cheap plastic and the software is crap and the wireless feature doesn't wanna activate maybe its just my printer that has this problem. i have two epson printers on the same network and guess what they work perfectly, last time i go with less price and quality ill pay little more to get the best
Summary: The printer is low price for an 11 x 17 printer, you get what you pay for. It does not print #10 envelopes well due to the wide margins they have set for the #10 setting. The return address has to be over an inch from the left side which looks ridiculous! The manual paper feed can be clumsy at times asking you to reload often. The ink cartridges seem to last long compared to other printers I have had.
Summary: I have had a HP photosmart P1000 for 12 years. I loved it, had no complaints. Till about a year ago, I noticed that the ink was never lasting. I was buying very good HP ink, the cheap ink was unsuitable for cards and pictures. Anyway I found out that the printer head needed to be replaced. I searched in many different places to get one, noticed that it would be about the price of a new printer.
