Junk ~Do Not Buy!

Amazon Customer, Amazon
12 July 2014
  • Summary: We have had this machine since September 2013; which is about 10 months ago. It did fine at first, though the picture quality was horrible! All the reviews we had read said picture quality was roughly the same as drug store prints, but that was far from the case! None of the images we printed looked good. We don't use printers for photo prints, but if that's what you're looking for this is NOT the one!

Really bad

Amazon Customer, Amazon
1 October 2013
  • Summary: I bought this unit strictly to print on 11x17 paper. This machine is constantly jamming and is very finicky. It is almost useless - and I mean that. I am very frustrated that I have to buy a replacement. I always had really good experiences with Brother products, so I am a bit shocked.

Ink guzzler and poor color representation!

Janice Douglas "JD", Amazon
3 September 2013
  • Summary: Well, I only tried this machine because my big brother the tech expert, who is hardly ever wrong, recommended it. The black ink gets clogged and won't print out on occasion. This has happened twice now in a two week period. Worse yet, the process for unclogging it dries out the ink in the printer and they don't want to replace anything but the black ink! The ink colors are not good either: blues are not true blue and reds are muddy.

Bark, bark, this one's a dog

kirpeche, Amazon
8 August 2013
  • Summary: I have the following three failures with this printer: 1. Scanning: The first day I received it I had to spend TWO HOURS on the phone with tech support to get it to scan; they had to "bump my problem up" two tech guys to find one who could solve the problem. He actually had to log in to my computer to program it to work, which was disquieting for me. 2. Custom range printing: The second day I learned the printer will not print "custom page ranges" (ie.

Garbage Inferior Printer - STAY AWAY!

YAM, Amazon
20 May 2013
  • Summary: Save yourself's the trouble and stay AWAY from this printer. It is garbage and an inferior product. After 2 years with I have only replaced the black ink just to tell you that printer is not being over worked. Even that I replaced with Bother's own so-called innobella ink and the black prints degenerated to worse of the original - the original itself wasn't great to begin with! Now after every TWO prints the machine displays PAPER JAM while no paper is jammed!

My husband hates it so much he threw it on the floor.

dearmariana, Amazon
11 September 2012
  • Summary: My husband is a fairly quiet man. But this printer really got to him. Over the course of the past 6-7 months it has had so many problems on a daily basis that printing and scanning became a chore in our office. I don't even know where to start. The straw that broke the camel's back today was when we arrived at the office at 6am, knowing full well that we needed to print something for a client and that it would be a hassle (as it always is).
