Temperamental and undependable printer

W.M. Mott, Amazon
17 May 2013
  • Summary: This printer has decided to stop printing, despite all trouble-shooting methods as outlined by the manual and the website... New ink was loaded, and it faded out completely immediately after that. All the cleaning processes just don't work. This is pathetic.

Worst printer I've ever owned

Mike in Panther City, Amazon
30 March 2013
  • Summary: I got this printer through my company. I've used it with three Windows computers: two using Windows 7, one using Windows 8. I have an AT&T U-verse wireless router and I (try to) use this printer's WiFi feature. I have three main problems with this printer: 1. The ink doesn't last.

Important note on ink cartridges

Shelby08, Amazon
7 February 2013
  • Summary: I hate this printer. My biggest issue of contention I have with this printer are the ink cartridges. There are 4 separate ink cartridges, black, yellow, magenta and cyan. If you run out of ANY one of the color cartridges you CAN'T print in black ink only.

Brother MFC-J625DW

Kevin Lei, CNET
21 September 2012
  • Summary: I do not recommend Brother printer for 1 reason...printhead is built into the printer and cost as much as the price of the printer to replace. Its just Brother''s way of ripping of their customer.
  • Pros: Good sets of features.
  • Cons: Very poor paper feeder.

TM, Amazon
11 March 2015
  • Summary: Most frustrating printer I've ever owned. Paper tray doesn't hold much paper so you're constantly adding more, and adding more is not simple and straight-forward either. Constantly says it's out of ink (which it isn't, but if you tip the entire machine up 90 degrees, it'll magically detect ink and...
