Excerpt: Black text is good, nice feature with paper tray supply & two sided print option. Colors are not vibrant, not what you see is what you get. Single feed feature for 11 x 17 paper or thicker / heavy photo paper has to be inserted perfectly or the print is skewed.
Excerpt: I am a long-time HP user. I had an HP Officejet that broke down after only a year of moderate use and this printer was on sale so I decided to give it a shot. I'm very happy with it so far - moderate use. I agree with some of the reviews that say certain components (like the paper tray) are flimsy and make the printer seem cheap. Also, it does make a fair amount of noise when printing. Certain print options are not intuitive (e.g.
Excerpt: The printer is good, however, if you print a lot of legal size paper this is not the printer for you. Any paper other than letter size has to be manually fed one sheet at a time. Also a little complicated to get accustomed to. I've had to call for help twice in 2 weeks.
Excerpt: I really like this printer. The cartilage last longer. It has the time and date on it. The printing is very legible. The color and black ink print out just like the original. It holds much more paper than my previous own printer. It does not take up a lot of space on my desk. It just slide right in the space that I planned to put it. I mostly like it for the amount of paper it holds and it does not run out of ink as fast as the dell printer I previous own.
Excerpt: This printer is the first Brother product that I have purchased in years. The software wouldn't load onto my Windows 7 machine so I called Brother's helpline. I was shocked at the arrogance of the person that answered. They knew what they were doing but assumed that I was stupid and in the end told me that essentially Windows was the problem that I should get Microsoft to help me.
Excerpt: I bought this printer for my company's office a few months ago, and I'm very glad I did. It prints twice as fast as the other printer I have, and it's a clear print too. I tired the auto feed try today and it worked very well. It's easy to set up to the network, and to be honest, I've not encountered anything about the printer that I don't like! It was reasonably priced, and I think the ink lasts longer than my other printer.
Excerpt: I have always used brother products and this is the first time I have ever said a brother product was junk. I purchased the printer in December 2013 in February 2014 the screen said it had a paper jam but there was nothing in the printer. Later while still trying to clear the machine it shut itself off and would not turn back on. Brother sent a replacement that worked for 3 days. When I contacted Brother they sent me to a service center with the replacement machine.
