Summary: A disaster from the very beginning. 1. The unit would continually paper jam from the paper tray in 1 out of every 3 or 4 prints. 2. The unit would continually take two pieces of paper, printing the whole document on both pages - left margin of the one piece of paper (below) and the other piece of paper on top. 3. The unit would not easily accept a manual-feed paper. 4.
Summary: It works...sometimes. I don't have any issues with jamming or on the scanning feature, but sometimes it will take 5 minutes to print a two page job or it will decide it doesn't want to print anything at all. Very frustrating. Color print quality is decent when it does feel like working. Choose another printer.
Summary: Have used Brother Laser printers for years. This is my first Brother Inkjet. Specs say many pages per minute in color. That may be true as long as you disregard the 7-10 second delay due to paper loading. The paper loading as a landscape mode is really a good idea ( idea=10). However, Brother implementation of the idea is, at best, 1 (impleentatio of idea <=1). THis is due to the tray stops in the landscape direction leaving a 1/2 inch gap in the portrait direction.
The worst, the very worst printer decision I ever made.

Summary: The printer does what it says it will . . . . sometimes. It is large, heavy and difficult to use. The side-sheet paper feed jams with anything but perfect 20 lb paper. Don't even think of printing with heavier stock or perforated stock such as perforated checks. It does have a manual feed for envelopes but you have to get up and reach behind the printer and then it rarely feeds properly the first time.
Summary: The Brother MFCJ4410 DW has proved to be the most difficult installation of any product I have ever encountered. It has taken three days...and numerous contacts with computer professionals and Brother themselves...and I am still not working up to speed. My scanner driver doesn't respond....I have reinstalled too many times to count. This is not my first rodeo with printers, scanners etal....but I would never recommend this to anyone.
Summary: Great features works fantastic but the print quality is horrible. I sent the first one back after spending an hour with brother tech support reloading software etc. Nothing made the print quality better so I exchanged it for a new one hoping is was defective. It wasn't defective so i had to sadly return it. The color prints have pixel stripes and the color is very dull and looks like its sun faded. Unacceptable print quality. Beware!
Summary: I purchased this printer from an office supply store so no points off to Amazon, but I thought I would share my review here. I absolutely hate this printer. I purchased it because I wanted a compact printer to handle 11x17 paper. The first one I got jammed time after time and the jams would absorb all the toner making a giant wet mess all over the place. I took that one back and got a second one of the same model.
Summary: What a disappointment. Plugged in the printer and had to immediately find the troubleshooting section of the owners manual. Followed the fix for the trouble code which was to unplug the machine and try again. Result not a light, code, or red x of death, nothing. I swore off of hp, but I don't see any other option.
