Do not waste your money on this

TMalin, Amazon
19 September 2015
  • Summary: Do not waste your money on this. I have had this printer for a year or two now, and the only reason I've put up with it this long is because I didn't want to go out and buy a new printer AGAIN right off the bat.

Planning to replace - better options out there

Neal, Amazon
9 January 2015
  • Summary: This printer is good enough - it prints, it can do duplex, it has wireless capabilities, and I was won over by the 11x17 printing option (which I have never actually used). But, it's shortcomings have been steadily getting more and more frustrating.

Disappointing performance all-around

Minnie I., Amazon
7 December 2014
  • Summary: I have had this printer for more than a year and compared to other printers I have had, this is a real loser. Here are my reasons: 1) Print color is faded and unpredictable. You can mess with the color settings and try to get a vivid print, but mostly you're going to end up with colors with little...

This has been the worst printer I have ever tried to use

mary stevens, Amazon
25 July 2014
  • Summary: This has been the worst printer I have ever tried to use...nothing but problems. Very poorly engineered, can't see when low on paper, the machine starts to make grinding noises, that's when you know you're out of paper.

A disaster from the very beginning.

Dr. Hanna Ian, Amazon
16 July 2014
  • Summary: A disaster from the very beginning. 1. The unit would continually paper jam from the paper tray in 1 out of every 3 or 4 prints. 2. The unit would continually take two pieces of paper, printing the whole document on both pages - left margin of the one piece of paper (below) and the other piece of...

Lazy and undependable

Brett Walters, Amazon
3 July 2014
  • Summary: It works...sometimes. I don't have any issues with jamming or on the scanning feature, but sometimes it will take 5 minutes to print a two page job or it will decide it doesn't want to print anything at all. Very frustrating. Color print quality is decent when it does feel like working.

VERY disappointed and looking for a replacement.

Kathy Simpson, Amazon
21 June 2014
  • Summary: This printer was purchased for a small in-home office. Much research was done prior, as it was replacing a Canon that worked well until the excess ink pad filled and the only resolution to that was to buy a new printer.

You will pay a small fortune for ink

Hike Mogan, Amazon
19 May 2014
  • Summary: I have a Brother MFCJ4410DW at work; I would never buy one for my home use. It seems like every time I've replaced a particular color of ink, another one runs out. My office has spent a lot of time and money either replacing cartridges or walking all over the building to use another department's...

Not so good

James N Morrison, Amazon
11 April 2014
  • Summary: Have used Brother Laser printers for years. This is my first Brother Inkjet. Specs say many pages per minute in color. That may be true as long as you disregard the 7-10 second delay due to paper loading. The paper loading as a landscape mode is really a good idea ( idea=10).

The worst, the very worst printer decision I ever made.

Gilagrump, Amazon
25 March 2014
  • Summary: The printer does what it says it will . . . . sometimes. It is large, heavy and difficult to use. The side-sheet paper feed jams with anything but perfect 20 lb paper. Don't even think of printing with heavier stock or perforated stock such as perforated checks.
