Summary: This is the only printer I've owned that has lasted over a year. My only complain is that it is sometimes slow. It does a lot of thinking and clicking before it prints. But it is reliable and defiantly NOT for photos. I use it for text. Update: Still working great! This is officially the longest lasting all-in-one printer I've ever owned.
Summary: This printer is a nice compact unit that does everything it is advertised to do and does it well at a very reasonable price. I don't really care for inkjet printers, especially for photos, since the inks are water based and leave a damp page that needs to dry out. While that is true of this printer, it is minimal and the picture reproduction is excellent, so it is adequate for my limited use.
Summary: A few days ago I just finished printing through one of those 5,000-sheet boxes of paper, all with the Brother 410w that I purchased just 4 months ago. There were some hiccups along the way, but overall it is still working OK. Wireless Excellent wireless capability. Installed it flawlessly on my PC and is definitely worth the choice.
Summary: I bought this printer at Office Depot for 50% off after seeing it on Amazon. It is a great printer. Ink usage is good, and the cartridges are really cheap. It has good print speed. The wireless features work flawlessly for printing and scanning. The only reason I didn't give it five stars, was because of all the trouble I had setting up the wireless connection to my two laptops.
Summary: So as not to restate what other commenters have said, I just wanted to make a couple of comments on connecting to this printer via wifi. First of all I've only had it long enough to install it and print off a couple of pages - print quality seems to be up to snuff, and it is pretty quiet, as others have noted, and is as quick - or slow - as any inkjet printer.
Great low end printer and a real value for the price.

Summary: Print quality for documents is excellent. Wireless feature is certainly a plus. Adequate job for photos but not the printer if you're looking to print abundant photos as the resolution seems a bit muted.
Summary: First off, I already have an older Brother multifunction printer which looks like & works almost exactly the same as this one. However, it is not wireless. It still works but I just use it as a back up now. General setup and wireless installation with the CD took like less than 30 minutes. It was easy. As long as you already have wireless internet service and know your SSID# & passcode, you're good.
Summary: Very easy to set up to home network. Prints very nice and the compact design compared to other bulky printers is nice. I am a Brother fan and this replaces my other Brother printer, I love the wireless capability.
