Not excellent quality. Printing is decent for an ink jet ...

Summary: Scanner works okay. Not excellent quality. Printing is decent for an ink jet printer. Fax? Who uses fax anymore? Wireless DOES NOT WORK. Tried to hook it up to my Dell laptop: No luck. To brand new Toshiba Satellite laptop: No luck. To brand new IMac: No luck.
Summary: I've had it! bought all new ink cartridges 2 months ago & have probably only printed out about a dozen black&white pages, & it's telling me it can't detect my color ink & I need to replace! has happened before…..I will never buy another Brother!!!
Summary: I'm posting this review as a service to potential buyers. I did not buy this printer on Amazon, but unfortunately I own one! The cartridges are expensive, don't last and the most frustrating part is that if you are out of yellow - you cannot print in gray scale!
Summary: We have two of these awful printers. One of my employees bought the first one when she got a Brother when we wanted a HP. So now we had ink for a Brother so then we bought the MFC-J410W. Both of the Brothers are just awful.
Summary: Started out great. No problems connecting to encrypted wireless or using it initially. Only used Brother OEM ink (went down that road once and ruined a printer). Now, after less than 2 years of regular household level printing, it won't recognize brand new full cartridges. Save your money.
Summary: Mine is broken in just two years. I still have a bunch of inks for it at hand.Unbelievably,I have another older Brother printer MFC-3240C which still works. I don't buy MFC-J410w even I have to throw away my stock of inks. Instead, I spend about $66 to buy some other printer.
Summary: Can't scan, can't fax if ink is low. Why do I need ink to scan? Feels like scam. Also, keeps cleaning every time I turn on the printer which is every day or every other day and uses all the ink. I bought the new cartridge and printed only 15 pages and it's empty again.
Summary: After multiple hours struggling with this printer, let me summarize: 1. Yes it sets up easy enough. 2. Prints EXTREMELY SLOW. I have no idea how or in what universe a 20 or 30 ppm print speed was found for the specifications.
Summary: I had a Lexmark prior to this. It was quick, quality of the print was great, dependable , easy to use, ink cheap. This is slow, print quality is poor, it has to be shut down and reset often cause it just doesn't print,it jams, or I just get sick of trying to do tasks that should be easy.
