Best for Small Office

Erika A., Amazon
18 January 2013
  • Summary: This printer works great for a small office. (Mine had 3-4 people). We set up the printer fairly easily and were all able to wirelessly connect. It prints high quality b&w and color and the scanner function is great.

Very Good and Reliable Printer

John Mark Kucera "Los Cabos AV", Amazon
8 March 2012
  • Summary: We use this in our office, for printing, scanning and copying, and occosional faxing. Overall very good; print cartridges are reasonablly priced, you can change the drum instead of having to pay for drus inside each toner cartridge.

Serves it's purpose well as a color laser all in one

5 June 2011
  • Summary: I am very pleased with the MFC-9840cdw,it replaces a brother inkjet that lasted for years BUT the price of ink was too much, I think the ink dries out if not used frequently, the laser does not have that issue. It operates very well, it takes a little while to print out first page (45 secs.

  • Summary: I received this printer a few weeks ago. (And have edited it now several months later.) First off, beware its size. As others have commented, it is very heavy (approx. 90 lbs) and sizable (approx. 21" cube).

Tony Butka, Amazon
1 August 2010
  • Summary: I've been using a combination of an HP2600n color laser, a Samsung ML-2250 B&W laser, a Canon scanner, and a Fujitsu ScanSnap for a couple of years. The 2600n sucked toner like mad, the Samsung works fine but is black & white only, the ScanSnap wouldn't work with Vista x64 when I bought a new...

Excellent Value. Tips to improve color accuracy and extend toner life.

LMH "LMH", Amazon
10 April 2010
  • Summary: Out-of-the-box color accuracy is poor. By default, the PCL driver for the printer will barely print green, and other colors are noticeably skewed toward yellow. This problem can be largely fixed by tweaking a few settings. Here are the basics: 1.

Good all-around multi-function unit

et_tu_bennu, Ebay
1 October 2009
  • Summary: What do I like about it? It's a color laser, it's wireless and the ADF is duplex for both scanning and copying. What don't I like about it? The cost of the consumables (toner, drum), but then that's how all the vendors make their money on these things.
