Summary: I bought this AIO almost three years ago to replace a Dell printer that used up way too much ink. I do not use the machine as much as someone would at an office or home business. One of the problems I've had with it is that on several occasions toner has leaked out of the cartrdge.
Lots of good features, but envelope handling is poor

Summary: After 6 months of fairly hard use in a small business, this printer is still working well. Like the others, I had to search how to fix the tension for envelopes, and I just leave it at the other level all the time.
Summary: Our church has a three people in the office and 15 on staff of a day care. We finished a lease on a much larger copier and went to this due to the huge cost difference (we can go through three of these in a year for less than one year's lease on the older machine). Does it do what we need it to do?
Summary: I am updating my review below after living with this mfc for a while and finding out more benefits and quirks. If they let me change the stars I'd drop it to 2. Here are the additional quirks I have come to really dislike in this device: 1) It takes forever to warm up.
Summary: Comments about Brother MFC-9840CDW Multifunction Printer: I use this many times throughout the course of the day and have found that it always has been reliable. We do a lot of high quality print jobs that are of the most importance.
Summary: This little unit does it all; wireless networking, multiple paper trays, and duplex printing and scanning. This is a truly great buy. A couple of caveats: 1. The color image quality just isn't that great. It's good enough, but the colors don't compare to similar HP offerings.
Summary: Comments about Brother MFC-9840CDW Multifunction Printer: It could be faster. We thought it would be faster and we've had some trouble with jamming. Honestly though the quality of documents we are getting has made up for the shortcomings. It does what it says it does.
Pros: Durable Construction, Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Reliable
Summary: Overall there is a lot of functionality in this machine. Also prints quickly (once it has warmed up which can take a bit). Print quality is acceptable for most purposes. The duplexing works well. I bought this after using a big HP inkjet AIO for years.
Summary: Comments about Brother MFC-9840CDW Multifunction Printer: This printer is all right. It is, like I said, too much bang for the buck. It is expensive, and too hard to setup. I don't recommend this printer.
Pros: Compact Design, Durable construction, Fast Print Time, Low Ink Consumption, Reliable
