Summary: Well despite the fact that once the unit arrived in town, it bounced around in the back of a FedEx truck for almost a week before they actually delivered it and the box looked like it had been through a war, the product was undamaged. (to my surprise) The unit works well on all functions. Printing is the quality you would expect from a Brother color laser. Very pleased with the product.
Summary: I've had this printer for almost a year now - over 3000 pages printed, and not a single paper jam. Very easy to set to work with Windows, OS-X and Android (did not try iOS). Scanner works nicely with Windows (did not try with OS-X). I also connected it to a phone line and sent a couple of faxes, including a very long one (over 20 pages) and it worked fine. Issues: it takes a while to warm up, so you might wonder if something bad happened to your print jobs.
Pros: This printer is very reliable. I've had it for almost a year, and printed over 3000 pages (toner is now complaining about low black). It connects easily with windows, macs and Androids (did not try ios), scans nicely (on windows, did not try mac) and overall works very nicely. No paper jams so far.
Cons: It takes a short while to warm up for first print (less than a minute, but long enough to worry if something has gone wrong). Also quite expensive and relatively small starter toners (I guess that is also price). A little noisy.
a bit noisy and quirky, but excellent value and quality

Summary: The software install is lengthy and fails easily, but once that is taken care of, the system operates quite well. The printing is quite good, slow duplexing but tolerable and nice-looking output. The fax and scan features get about an 8/10 compared to HP, but then a lot of HP printers are not even getting a 10 from me lately.
Summary: The Brother MFC-9460CDN is a great all around printer. Great speed and flexible. Make sure you read the manual to figure out how to do double-sided copying. It can be done, but it's not intuitive. Other than that, it's a great printer.
