Summary: I was lucky enough to get it for $70. This machine works perfectly! Toners are very easy to refill, and you can print another thousands of great quality documents and pictures. 2-way feeding scanner is very functional, you just drop 100 pages document and it scans the whole thing immediately! Especially what I like about this machine - simple, stable, and light for OS softwire. Brother, my regards!!!
Summary: I really like the printer and have been using it for a long time now. The scanner and printer are great and simple to use. The only drawback I have encountered (aside for the obvious limitations, such as no fax) is the toner life. It seems to run out of toner very quickly and for the first 8 months of ownership I replaced them every time the machine quit printing and forced me to. I tried using a refill kit to cut costs and that was a bad idea.
Summary: I bought the MFC9010CN to replace a Dell 2130. This one prints as fast, as quiet, and is less expensive to purchase and operate. I have been through at least 5 Dell printers. I now have two Brother printers and am completely satisfied.
Summary: I've had good success with this printer. It is very solid, delivers good results (image quality is better on higher end models)and it was easy to set up and get going. I even found the scanner quality to be of a high enough caliber to scan artwork. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is HEAVY and that I wish the toner lasted a bit longer.
Summary: We bought this printer for home use because school work required a lot of printing. I've had nothing but issues with the dang thing. It says it needs Yellow Toner every time I turn it on. I've called Brother many times and they've walked me through the "turn on turn off" crap routine. They've had me take the toner out to shake and put back in (something I did when I first got it and have done every single time I need to print something).
Summary: Get it. It is worth it. I shopped for months. It is fast the toner cartridge last for ever and cost what a n ink jet cartridges cost and this one does every thing. I can print from my laptop and from the gaming computer in the bedroom, WIRELESS. If it could do the dishes I would be in heaven.
Summary: Our old Canon multifunction inject finally quit, and we replaced it with an Epson Workfoce 610. The Epson worked well, but with 4 school age kids, we found ourselves going through ink quickly, and the costs were mounting. After a bit of research, we decided to go with a laser printer, and we were going to just go with a black and white, and keep the Epson for color use, but we ended up getting a great deal through Staples.
