GOOD STUFF

AQUATOM, Amazon

  • Summary: If you do not have the correct USB cable "BUY IT" you will need this cable to make life very easy in setting this up on your wireless network. Without the cable "GOOD LUCK"!! I like the speed of duplexing (scans top and bottom on one pass) also the 550 sheet feeder upgradeable to 1000 sheets and the 12,000.00 page toner. The color touch screen menu display is a big plus!! NEVER EVER BUY ANY TONER OTHER THAN BROTHER OR YOU WILL HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE.

Great printer, haven't really made it sweat yet.

Carl D. Willis-Ford, Amazon

  • Summary: 4.5 stars. Very happy with this printer. I looked at a lot of printers, because I was upgrading for my home office and wanted scanner/copier capability. I looked at color lasers, but wasn't happy with the operational costs. I have an ink-jet that I'll use for the rare times I need color. I've tested the scanner, copier, duplex printing, and wireless setup. All excellent. The copy was a bit dark, but is adjustable. It cranks out print documents pretty quickly.

Two Plus Hours To Set Up WiFi - Brother Printer MFC-8950DW Monochrome Laser Printer

Govtman, Amazon
19 May 2014
  • Summary: Firstly, this is my first Brother printer that I've ever had. I've had three Canon PIXMAs that have all died on me. I had called Canon to let them know about the death of their 3rd printer and they offered me a 25% loyalty discount. I was glad about this but then found out I could only apply this discount to the PIXMA family printers even though I've incurred three deaths of them. Canon would not budge and I had to leave the family.

Brother All-in-One Printer

David Marciel, Amazon
1 April 2014
  • Summary: The machine has many desirable features and, in general, does what it is supposed to do. However, the documents received with the machine and what I have found so far still leave some questions unanswered regarding some of the functions and set-up options. I have called support several times and received good support, some of which I think I shouldn't have had to request because of items that should have been covered in the manual but weren't or, at least, not in such a...

A very good printer that could've been better

Armin "aahaa!", Amazon
30 March 2014
  • Summary: I bought 3 of them for our office so that tells you how highly I think of this printer. This is a heavy-duty mono laser Multi Function Printer great for a small office or in my case department sections. It has excellent paper handling and I especially like the convenience of touch-screen color LCD controls. Here are the best features of this printer PROS (what's great about this MFC Printer) - It includes both a flatbed and an automatic document feeder (ADF).

Great printer for price

Julie Jansett, Amazon
21 February 2014
  • Summary: This is the second Brother MFC8950 we've purchased for our small business. The first one lasted 18 months, but the only issue was the rollers, it was taking too many papers and jamming, or not taking anything thicker than plain paper and jamming. I was so happy with the quality, we just purchased the exact model. The speed is great (although it can be noisy, the reduced noise option also seems to print slower, 2-sided printing is great, the high yield toners are great.

Only a month in, but another solid MFC

hikingwhunters, Staples
20 February 2014
  • Excerpt: The MFC8950DW has, so far, been a great addition to our office. Have only had it for about a month, but no problems and everything works as expected. The 500 page paper tray is a plus- didn't think it would be so noticed, but putting paper in half as often (250 pg tray in previous Brother MFC) is nice. Wireless connection established easily and has not "disappeared" once. Duplex copying, while not especially speedy, works without jams or special attention.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Reliable

Nearly perfect black ink printer, sufficient for any small office

Michael P. Rose, Amazon
24 December 2013
  • Summary: This is my second multipurpose printer from Brother, with the first one using up it's life after more than 100,000 printed copies. I am particularly happy with the paper feeder, as I have faxed many papers with very few misfed pages. The printer also can read and print 2-sided papers, an upgrade from most of the other printers. The only limitation that warrented one less star was the slow speed of the copier.

Work horse

Joel Balderas, Amazon
31 October 2013
  • Summary: I am a solo attorney and I am happy with my purchase after a year of use. It does everything I need: copy, scan flat, auto feed scan, holds 500 sheets, multi-paper tray, air print, double sided printing and scanning. I've used the starter toner cartridge and a Super high yield cartridge in this first year and the Super High has not run out yet. Air print doesn't seem to work when the computer is off and its slow on wifi when scanning.
