Summary: We've had this printer less than 30 days. Already a part has gone bad. "It's under warranty", we have been told it could take 2-3 weeks for us to get the part. We hear from Brother, our printer went out last Thursday, if we are lucky the new part will be ready to be installed early next week.
Summary: I bought 8 of these in the last year for 3 different business locations. They are okay for one or two individuals to share but they are definitely not a workgroup printer. With heavy use, they get too hot and stop working.
Summary: Anyone that rated this printer more than 1 star is not using it regularly. I have purchased 7 (yes 7!) of these for various small office clients over the past 18 months. Every single one of them needed the fuser replaced within 6 months. Every one!
Summary: Poor quality, after several months it started to jam and cannot print multiple pages. Not for a small business as its too poor of a quality to do any kind of printing. Now it started to print with a shadow and cleaning it doesnt work. Im disappointed that it cannot be returned as Im out over $500.
It won't last long enough to justify the price. Go with another brand.

Summary: Was great while it worked, which wasn't for very long. I only print about 100 pages a week and within less than a year the machine had issues. First, it crinkles the paper as it came out. Then after 2 hours on the phone with Tech Support they sent out a technician.
Warning - scanning feature is awful and unreliable
10 January 2015
Summary: This is an infuriating product because so much about it is well designed. But If one of the things you care about is scanning documents straight into emails, or into file folders on your computer, you should prepare yourself for frustration beyond imagination.
Summary: This review isn't simply for this MFC, but rather for all of the printers that Brother has been producing that use the DR-720 drum unit. This isn't a one time deal, this was from four printers and two MFC-8950DW units.
Agony to configure and maintain, worst piece of hardware I've come across in years.

Summary: Surprisingly complicated to set up and maintain. A huge complex book of instructions, absolutely terrible web interface for configuration, even worse device screen interface, drops entire configurations (like smtp\pop3 details) if your network fails for some reason, software that ships on the CD is...
Summary: After using it for five month, it starts to jam. This is the third printer we purchased. All three MFC 8950DW printers happened to jam less than one year. Feel so frustrated. Start to look for other brand.
