Summary: Read the reviews on this 8910 here in Amazon and checked the Brother website. Both the 8810DW and 8910DW use the same toner/drum and have just about the same specifications/features except for print speed, 8910DW is 2 ppm faster. I wonder why the 8910DW is an extra $100 though. After less than a few Google results, I concluded that the 8810DW is a Costco Only or made for Costco machine.
Summary: I have owned Brother laser printers for over a decade. They are great workhorses and rarely give me trouble. Recently, my 7-yr old Brother MFC-8640D ran out of toner and needed a new drum. The prices are sky-high now for drums and toner for it, so I opted to buy the new Brother MFC-8810DW instead (similar to MFC-8910DW).
Good but noisy, and can't get scanner to work with Mac

Summary: Overall, I like the printer pretty well. The two-sided printing is great, and the print quality is good. If it's like my previous Brother MFC, the printer cartridges should last a long, long time. The printer sure is noisy, though. Also, the scanner software for the Mac seems like an afterthought. I've installed the appropriate TWAIN scanner driver, but when I try to scan from Print & Fax (in System Preferences), I get a "No scanner selected" message.
Summary: This laserjet is priced right and does the job. Printing from your ipad couldn't be easier. The printer arrived ahead of schedule too. This would have been a 5 star review had there not been a little problem with one of the lid hinges. It arrived slightly damaged. Overall I would recommend!
Summary: I've had it for about a month and it has not been used much yet but so far I like it. It prints very well and fast but a little bit too loud, hard to hear a TV working in the same room. Our HP printer is much quiter. Faxing and scanning used very little so far but have no complains. Made some copies, no problem. I was able to plug my phone with answering machine through the printer and it works just fine.
Summary: We have pounded the printer hard for close to 2 years and it asks for more. We have printed thousands upon thousands of laser prints and copied so many charts at our busy medical office. It really keeps up and is in constant use. Is works well as a wireless printer or networked. The best thing about the MFC is how it scans directly into our software and fast!!! It is a really fast scanner for multi page documents. Duplexer could be better but it works.
fast, starter toner ran out quick, and replacement expensive

Summary: this replaced an 8890 which died after very heavy use for 2 years. everything works as expected, except the starter toner ran out after about 1500 pages of printing. unfortunately, it does not take the same toners as the previous one, and no generics are available yet the replacement toner is around 89 dollars, which will hopefully at least last for 5k pages.
