Summary: I got a fantastic deal on this laser printer used! What I like 1.Easy to work and install 2. Brother website great for troubleshooting drivers 3. Replacement toner and drums very affordable 4. Super speedy 5. Graet overall multi function machine 6. This is my second Brother MFC What I don't like 1.
Summary: This is the second Brother All in One Laser printer that I have. Bottom line: This is a workhorse machine! It does everything I need to run a small law office and you can't beat the price. We print about 5000 pages a month - sometimes that goes to 7000 - we scan everything into the computer and we fax. I use the MagicJack for my phone to fax with and again, this machine just works & work & works.
Summary: One of the better multifunction devices. Don't be fooled by cheaper models where the host PC has to be turned on and running - this one works by itself for copying and scanning and with its network connection is easily shared among the different laptops and desktop we have at home. So far it works brilliantly, and doing home maintenance on the drum and toner is quite possible if you are careful.
Pros: If you buy anything else during the remainer of your life, it can't be any worse than the mistake you made buying this Brother product.
Cons: I tried for a year or two to get various features like the FAX and scanning to function as advertised, but I was worn down by incompentent support, bad drivers, and repeated failures. I settled for hooking it up to one computer as a printer.
"Very dependable. Easy use. Best Copy machine I've owned"
16 July 2009
Pros: Has worked well right out of the box. I have had it for 3 years and it has worked perfect. I average 35,000 copies per year. Perfect for small office. I've followed the maintainence schedule to a tee without a hiccup.
Cons: After 100,000 copies, it tells me that two parts are wearing out, and I have to take it in for service. Haven't sent it in for service yet--still works well!
Multifunction small office Network Mono Laser printer
2 February 2009
Summary: 2/2/09, I needed a 2nd Multifunction Printer ( I have an HP MFP3880) I wanted to try something different than an HP, I hoped for a unit that was faster and did not cause hicups with my operating system ( xp-pro). I choose the Brother, Reconditioned and a great price. Set up was quick for Networking ( just make shure to enter the TCP/IP info on the printer first) I use 3 computers.
