Excerpt: Was using MFC-7960 for about three years until it started to print spots and lines on everything and became unusable. I thought about getting another MFC-7960, but I wanted the double sided printing. The MFC-8710 arrived fast and operates and functions the same. I did have allot of trouble installing and setting it up to print from multiple computers. Finally figured out how to set it up on a network and worked on all computers except for one.
Excerpt: We purchased this printer about two weeks ago. So far, we have only printed about 200 pages with it, but it works well. I haven't tried faxing anything, but all of the print, scan and copy functions work as expected. The built-in WiFi is sweet, and the printer wakes up, warms up and prints quickly.
Excerpt: We previously had this same model for 1 1/2 years. Lightning took that one out so after looking, decided to purchase the same one. We don't use the fax as our office uses a common area fax. Printing and scanning are our main functions. The scan feature is very user friendly. The size of the machine works well on a higher shelf of our desk which frees up the entire desk area. Paper feed works well. The machine was on sale so it cost less this time than before.
Excerpt: This printer is quick and easy to set up. Great instructions with illistrations so you don't get lost in set up. Came really well packed with styrofoam and taped down so nothing jarred. Prints a reported in the advertisement for printer. Has great output power (you will want to use the stops provided as the papers will shoot off the top of the printer if using the top feed for copying). Printing is crisp and clear.
Excerpt: We bought this 4-1 machine in late 2012 for the purchasing dept. There were no problems installing the machine or software, had a bug with scanning for about a week due to some type of error on the install disc. We just uninstalled the program and downloaded the software again, that fixed the problem. We run about 400+ sheets through this machine weekly with only 1 or 2 paper jams every few weeks.
Excerpt: Bought this multifunction unit for after considerable search to specifically find one with the feature to store received faxes in a shared drive/folder on a windows network. The feature called 'PC-Fax Receive' essentially accomplishes this, though it requires the supplied companion software to be running on a PC on the network with the shared drive/folder 'network mapped' on it.
Excerpt: Since we use primarily Brother printers and I needed to add three wi-fi enabled multifunction laser printers I purchased the Brother MFC-8710DW. They work as advertised and at a reasonable cost per page, especially with the high yield toner cartridge. It took only a few minutes to unpack and set up each printer with wi-fi enabled. Software and drivers included worked great.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Low Ink Consumption, Reliable
Excerpt: After researching for a all-in-one machine, I found this one and decided to give a shot. It took me a while to understand the setting of the software with machine and program it the way I want it. It does what I wanted it to do specially the scanning documents to PDF and if I had outlook set up as my mail interface, it would just send it to my email so I could send the attachment. I love it.
