Limited entry level multifunction laser printer for SOHO.

Summary: Reasonable house hold multifunction printer with the ability to print on both side and network client features. This print can only manage US Letter sized paper at the largest. I have an older and superior model which has much better build quality. Note the scanner feeder does not scan two sided documents. I have never used the FAX capability on either of my Brother printers.
Summary: I'm not going to repeat what you've read in all the other positive reviews. I love the machine with one small exception: The machine warned me to change the toner cartridge WAY before it needed to be changed. However, because I am a teacher and I need to stretch every penny possible, I ignored the warning to change the toner until my copies started to turn pale and that allowed me to print a few hundred more pages.
Excerpt: If you want a trouble-free copier that lasts for at least two years, I wouldn't recommend this one, even if it is a great deal. This printer was used in a small office as the main copier/scanning machine. The double-sided printing capability and speed were great. But you are required to go through multiple menu screens in order to change settings or scan to a network computer.
Health concerns due to exhaust and toner particulates

Summary: I have used smaller Brother all-in-one printers for years with success. This was an upgrade. Although I liked how it printed and scanned, every time it turned on a powerful exhaust fan switched on. The exhaust emitted a noxious smell -- a toner smell -- and particulates that irritated my eyes, nose and throat. Although I have smelled toner from my previous Brother printers after heavy usage, I've never experienced anything like this.
Summary: I purchased this item based on feedback given on amazon. I was looking for the most value and predictability. This item provided neither. 2 days after the amazon return policy ended (about one month), I called Brother, and they sent me a "refurbished" replacement. Refurbished to what? Perhaps an all in one fax/printer/copier that had been drug through the valley of death. This refurbished machine looked to be 10-20 years old.
not so easy to use if it's in wireless environment

Summary: I connect it to a router by network cable. And hoping have 2 apple and 1 window pc to print to it wirelessly. I dont think i am asking much. Within few minutes the Apple computers can connect to the printer and start printing. The window 8 pc is a different story. After half hour, it still wont connect; i grew tired and gave up. Few days later, for reason i forgot, i removed the printer device from the apple computer; and when i tried to add the printer again.
Summary: I purchased this printer for our small office. It has worked great so far and is very easy to use. I have only encountered one problem and it may be my fault. Several times I have received a message from the printer saying to install paper when infact there is alerady paper in the tray. This may be due to the fact that I purchased cheap copy paper at the club store. Next time I will go for better quality paper and this may solve that problem.
Summary: It's been a long time since I owned a laser printer, but considering the printing demands my wife has for home schooling, her Girl Scout troop, Ladies' Auxiliary, etc, our inkjet printer just wasn't cutting it for the volume. I could have gone for a cheaper printer than this one but I was looking for these features: 1. Wired network connectivity. - Wireless also wasn't cutting it. Our inkjet constantly dropped off our wireless network and had to be restarted.
