Feed problems

Roy in NC, Staples
9 September 2009
  • Excerpt: I have had no problems with this product until recently. I maintain a group with about 20 of these. 2 out of 6 that were bought in the last 4 months, were Out of Box Failures, having paper feed problems. To their credit, both Staples and Brother have been very responsive to swapping these units out.
  • Pros: Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Fast Operation, Great Print Quality
  • Cons: Unreliable

Not great for copying different sizes

AEC, Staples
23 July 2008
  • Excerpt: This product does not have a flip top copier, so it is impossible to copy pages of different sizes. If you only ever need to copy 8.5 by 11, it would probably be fine.
  • Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup
  • Cons: Lacks options

Not too bad

Ilikestuff "Ilikestuff", Amazon

  • Summary: The print quality is decent, but not as good as my old HP 6p. The print speed is very good, though paper handling is pretty poor. It's copier function is really pretty good for small jobs. It reports paper jams when there are none, the ADF often drags more than one piece of paper through the scanner, and the envelope/special paper feeder only accepts one lousy piece of paper at a time.
