Summary: I had this thing working wirelessly, but suddenly, it has become intermittent. It will say "Connected" but when I try to, for instance, scan something, it reports "Check Connection!". How frustrating! Have reset the machine and tried to setup wireless again but no luck.
Don't buy, black ink will clog and it is unrepairable

Summary: As others have reported here after a time - particularly if the printer is used lightly, black ink print will clog or fail. I went though an entire new cartridge performing the 'black' clean, which somehow also seemed to consume color ink.
Summary: I use this product at home, mainly for low volume copying and printing. Everything was fine for about a year, then things went bad. Suddenly I couldn't get black to print. The other 3 colors worked fine. I inserted 2 new black cartridges, and nothing changed.
Summary: I had a Brother MFC-490CW that just quit printing after 1 or 2 years of service. I had just bought ink refills, so I thought I would purchase another Brother machine that used the same ink, wrong choice! This machine printed about 8 pages then nothing.
Summary: Make sure you like the non printing features because the printer stopped working within weeks. Brother replaced my first unit, and now the second one stopped printing. So now instead of a printer I have a large answering machine! I wish I had purchased something else.
Summary: MFC-885CW: We use this only to accept FAXes, and the useage is VERY light (not more than 5 pages per month. At 15 months the black print head appears to have failed just like a previous reviewer has noted above. Ours though is out of warranty.
