Summary: Ther printer is great, but the cardridge is expensive. I had a compatables and had it refilled, they turnen out to be a disaster. I suggest all students should try the cannon printers, it's ink is refillable at a reasonable price great products.
Summary: Beautiful machine, works great with Mac or PC, but just a paperweight in my 64-bit Linux office. Spent weeks trying to sort through driver installation threads (Ubuntu mostly, I'm using Linux Mint), and eventually gave up and reinstalled OSX on a machine just to have access. If you're in the same boat, do some research on Linux-compatibility before buying.
Summary: THis thing works fine for the price, except for one thing. If I reboot, I have to go through the whole process of deleting and re-installing the driver to get it to SCAN. Otherwise, it will just sit there saying "CONNECTING TO PC" forever. I've sent in two eMail requests and keep getting canned answers which have nothing to do with the problem. I really wish I would've bought the competing H-P product just for support alone.
Summary: So, I really like this printer/scanner thingy - EXCEPT that it sucks with my Mac laptop which is connected wirelessly. Something happens when the mac and/or the printer goes to sleep and then when I try to print later on in the same day or the next day, its "not connected" That leaves me with 2 choices. 1. print and leave in the queue.
Summary: I really don't like this printer because of some fairly minor but irritating issues. 1. I print quite a few labels and checks that I want to print using the manual feed on the front. However, I find the manual feed unusable because it doesn't pull the page straight. Every print ends up skewed on the page. This is a real problem for labels and checks. So I end up using the lower tray for manual sheets. This means that envelopes are not printable at all. 2.
Summary: Prints okay. But after only a couple of weeks, there have been too many difficulties. Jamming up repeatedly. The manual feeder jams about 50% of the time, and the envelopes are reliably printed on a slant. We work in an office, so this is unacceptable -- I can't be printing envelopes with text that isn't straight. The wireless function works fine, but I haven't figured out how to print from an iphone, if that is even possible.
Summary: I had very high hopes for this printer based on other reviews. Printer arrived quickly (next day) and I was eager to set up. Followed wireless setup instructions to the letter, both via printer control panel and via USB. Continued to receive "Connection Fail" reports claiming my password was incorrect. The password is ON my router--I quintuple checked it. Not to mention I have three laptops, two iPhones, and an iPad all connected wirelessly without issue...
Summary: This device was fairly inexpensive, but wow, I'm paying for it in terms of how frusterating it can be. 1. Although its a medium-duty machine, it's trays cannot handle holding more than a few dozen pages. My HP 'all-in-one', that this replaced, was a lighter machine, but the trays could hold more pages without overloading and wrinkling them. 2. This thing jams constantly. It probably jams once every four or five times I use it. If I look at it funny, it jams.
Summary: machine is noisy when it is not in DEEP SLEEP MODE. even in SLEEP MODE there is a loud fan running and there is NOT SETTING to adjust when the machine goes into DEEP SLEEP mode. if you install all the software, there will be this software update notification that wants you to buy their software "upgrade" but its actually just like a whole new software.
Summary: Leider keine ausreichende / konkrete Beschreibung der techn. Funktionen - zB. Duplex-Funktion nur manuell, stellt man erst bei Inbetriebnahme fest. Gilt sowohl für die Fax- / Kopier- und Druck- sowie Scan-Funktion.
