  • Summary: It is a discontinued model but I got it at a great price. Toner and drum units are not cheap but what laser printer's are? Wireless is a plus. Overall I'm happy!

Easy to Use

  • Excerpt: My husband did all the researching when it came to buying our new printer. I am a bit technologically challenged so I figured I would not use it much - I was wrong - I love it and it is so easy to use! I have no problem making copies, scanning documents, printing pages or even "duplexing". It really does so many things (I'm sure some of which I have not even yet discovered). The Brother MFC-784W All-In-One Laser Printer was also very affordable.

This Brother printer is perfect

  • Excerpt: Before purchasing this printer, my husband and I did a lot of research, reading reviews from consumers and consumer reports/magazines, etc. This printer received rave reviews everywhere (with an occasional angry review)  Let me save you some time: this printer is amazing and deserving of the praise it has received. Print quality is clear and professional, even the toner save mode print quality is great.

I'm in love with this printer!

  • Excerpt: The Brother MFC-7840W is a totally awesome printer! My husband bought it on sale, and we have been totally happy with it. This printer is truly multi functional. It has a paper feed on top to load sheets in that you wish to copy, or you can use the copy screen like a standard photo copier. I've successfully photocopied letters, ID, passports, and other important papers, and they come out great. You can adjust the dark/light level depending on what you need.

Brother MFC-7840W Laser All-In-One

Amazon Customer, Amazon
8 March 2011
  • Summary: Purchased the Brother MFC-7840W for $209.99 and well worth the cost. I did not need a color laser printer, so I researched many of the black-and-white multifunction laser printers for my business. I wanted a wireless printer because I did not have the room next to the server to put a printer. Of all the printers I researched, I was stuck between the Samsung SCX-4623FW Wireless and this Brother printer.

Exactly what I needed

prudence76, Ebay
7 November 2010
  • Summary: Like some of the other reviewers, it took me a while to get it set up and "talking" to my other computers on the wireless network. I have one computer on XP and another on Vista and I had to overcome different problems for each one so don't give up. Now that it's all set up, it works exactly the way I need it to. I am a graduate student and print out lots of documents, articles and data as well as my own research articles.

Best b&w laser all in one for the money, bar none

au-tigers, Ebay
29 January 2010
  • Summary: I have zero complaints about this machine. Fast, quiet, well built. Has all the features we wanted: printer, scanner (with multiple document feeder), copier, fax. Works seamlessly with Windows XP, Mac OS X and Linux (all of which are used in my home). Wireless setup was painless. Excellent software for the Mac. Drum and printer cartridges are reasonably priced, even the OEM stuff.
