Summary: This printer/scanner/copier works great for my home office needs. Easy use, low maintenance. And the cartridge prices for it have gone down in price significantly since I replaced first one! Scanning and uploading old family photos for emailing to family is also fairly 'easy' - once you figure it out ! ha!
Summary: This printer has been a reliable part of my home office for over 5 years. It does everything you need it to do fairly simply. I use the scanning feature most frequently and I am very pleased with how easy it is to store files on my computer. Replacing toner and paper is a snap. There are many Brother MFC releases but this has been the best for me.
Summary: The printer has performed well in several months of use. The copy quality is very nice. The only problem I have encountered is in stopping printing in mid-job. I tried the "Pause" and "Delete" buttons in the Brother software; I tried the Stop button on the printer. Neither solution worked, so I turned off the printer. That was a disaster. I had to extract jammed paper from two locations inside the printer. That process resulted in a dirty roller and streaky copies.
Summary: AVOID BROTHER PRINTERS! Brother will NOT provide support on ANY issue if you don't buy Brother toner cartridges and ONLY Brother cartridges. I had a problem with the SCANNER and they refused to provide ANY support because I had an after-market toner cartridge AVOID BROTHER PRINTERS!
Summary: The front panel broke right away so I had it fixed under warranty. After the warranty period was over, the front panel broke again and now does not shut completely. The replacement toner cartridge I bought leaks toner into the drum unit so I get black stripes on the sides of my pages if I don't clean it often.
Good quality prints, expendables wear faster than expected.

Summary: Having installed 6 of these in one office in late 2009, we've gone through a fair number of prints. Toner is plenty cheap. The fuser rollers have a tendency to wear faster than expected, collecting/building up lines that can't be removed without scratching the roller... and that just makes it worse. One unit had a squeak in the plastic paper handling rollers, but a quick tiny bit of graphite powder fixed that permanently. The scanning portion has worked flawlessly.
Bought this fax over 1 year ago (refurbished) works like a charm!

Summary: Very happy with the Brother All in One printer/fax, I use this as a printer and fax as well. It's for home use so it gets very light usage, but so far after over one year this product works great and I am very happy with it. Got it for a great price due to being REFURBISHED, but it works perfectly and I would recommend it to anyone else considering Refurbished. I have always been skeptical about buying refurbished, but the price was so tempting that I couldn't resist.
Works good, had to be set up by IT person for all functions

Summary: I use this machine in my micro-medical practice. It has the ability to fax to file (no printing) and this works well but the only problem is if your server goes down, this will not work and you will not know it until you haven't gotten faxes for a few hours. You will also not be able to retrieve those "stored" faxes (or at least I can't figure out how). Easy to print with. Do the thing with the black electrial tape on the drum to extend your toner cartridge life.
