Summary: I purchased a color printer from a different manufacturer because I needed one with that capacity at the time. I put this printer on a shelf for a little over a year and when the other manufacturer's color printer died, I took this machine off the shelf.
Summary: Good multi-function device. Don't really like the software that comes with it or the fact that the printer makes you change the cartridge before it's fully used up. Electrical tape over the sensor on the cartridge fixes that issue though.
Summary: I looked up and down for information on this machine before purchasing it. I specifically needed a cost effective monochrome laser printer that could print and scan-to-email (drop a document in the ADF, enter an email address, and the machine emails the document).
Summary: It is supposed to print, scan, copy. It will scan and print. Often you can send something to it to print. Forget faxing. It does not work. You can not scan to a file then fax the file (it displays that the file is in will the wrong format), you can not fax directly from the printer to someone.
Summary: The MFC-7340 is a multi-function product that performs none of its functions well, and some it performs not at all. Flimsy, unreliable, and trouble-prone. Brother phone service was annoying and worthless. I'll never purchase another Brother product.
