Summary: I had been an HP OfficeJet buyer for ... oh, must be more than a decade now. Their scanners never (truly, never) worked correctly for me, and I always felt that there must be a better product. So when my last OfficeJet failed, I searched intensively for a replacement with features that were comparable or superior to HP. I landed on this Brother machine. Pros first: The size of the machine is great. It is a handsome unit. It is marvelously affordable.
Summary: . Brother MFC-6890CDW Professional Series Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer/Copier/Scanner/Fax with Duplex Printing and Wireless Networking The Brother MFC-6890CDW is what I had expected from reviews that I had read. The only thing that does not meet my expectations is the very slow speed that it prints envelopes.
Summary: On January 11, 2011 bought from Amazon a Brother 6890 CDW. Price was good (paid $299.00 on amazon sale), packaging was good, amazon delivered quickly and setup was okay. Bought the 6890 to to do a 7 page, 11 by 17 two sided sheet membership directory that we folded in half and stapled as a booklet. Got it all set up, then printed guinea pig 2 sided sheets on letter, legal and ledger size paper, no problems. One each 11 by 17 two sides took 81 seconds.
Summary: I had to contact Brother 2 times to get my printer set up wirelessly. Nothing they did and had me do worked. I then had a computer technician come over and he couldn't get it to work. I even contacted Verizon Fios and they gave me all I needed (which I already had) and it still didn't work. I had the proper wire to connect the printer to my router. I use my Brother Lazer printer more than I use this machine so can't really comment on how long the ink lasts.
Excerpt: I have owned several printers in my lifetime. One of them was a very good Canon Pixma MX850 Office All in one ink-jet printer, and another was the also excellent Canon Pixma MX860 wireless all in one photo printer. I recently came across a Brother MFC 6890CDW Ink-jet printer, and I was a bit curious about its capabilities when I found out that it cost nearly twice as much as the Canons. I decided to get myself one.
Nice machine but ink cartridge issues prevent me from using it yet

Summary: This machine seems perfect except that this model tends to have ink issues. The more I read about it the more issues I see people having with the ink cartridge being fickle in the setup , and/or the nozzle heads being defectve or clogged. To their credit they are sending me a new machine with pre-paid return of the old (new) machine. I am disappointed so far but will return t review again ince I have it set up.
Very good if you need ledger printing. Not so good if you don't.

Summary: After owning and reviewing both the excellent Canon Pixma MX850 Office All-In-One Inkjet Printer and the almost as-good Canon PIXMA MX860 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer , Brother has to make an airtight case against Canon when they're looking to get twice as much money out of your wallet. Unless printing on 11 x 17" (ledger) paper is a make-or-break need, Brother doesn't make a very good case against the less expensive Canon offerings.
A3 Drucken, Scannen und Faxen mit Brother MFC6890CDW

Summary: Brother MFC6890CDW Multifunktionsgerät (Tintenstrahldrucker, Scanner, Kopier, Fax 35 S/min, 64MB Speicher) Drucker, Scanner, Kopierer und Fax funktionieren einwandfrei und gut.
