"Don't know which printer the reviewer was playing with"
13 August 2013
Pros: Easy to install, economical ink usage, a bonus of being able to print up to A3 as needed - AND to print wireless via my router.
Cons: I think my particular machine has a gremlin that takes delight in changing my printer settings from time to time, it will tell me I have the wrong paper size when - no - it's the right size. Have no idea why this happens.
Summary: THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT FOR HOME USE I CREATE SO MANY FLYERS CARDS BROCHURES THAT I CAN'T KEEP UP ON MY HOME BUSINESS[S] I RUN 4 HOME BUSINESS[S] AND THIS PRINTER HANDLES THEM ALL WHEN IT COMES TO PROMOTION MARKETING ADVERTISING.
Summary: Comments about Brother Professional MFC-5890CN Multifunction Printer: Use it frequently for my own business. All functions are great and super easy to use. fast, quality printing for inkjet also. [...
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Operation, Quiet, Reliable
Summary: The Brother MFC (Multi Funtion Center) series is a great all around printer that will give you solid service. I have had similar HP units and the Brother has out performed them hands down. Some folks are not happy with the speed of printing photos, and I am not one for exceptional patience in this respect, but I do not think the few seconds difference in time required is worth sacrificing the quality of photos you can get from the Brother series.
Summary: Great product thus far no issues works all functions working well, crisp color fast copying... Bought this product for it's capability to print 11x17 copies, small footprint does not take up a lot of space like other 11x17 printers do. Looks good, works good!
Summary: I give it a 4 because aint nothin perfetc. We use this AIO at home for personal stuff, although I occasionally bring home work and print documents for work. I basically bought this model because of the 11 x 17 capability and have been pleased with the overall quality in printing, copying and scanning. I don't fax. I printed some pictures at 11 x 17 of my grandkids that were on the internet at low resolution, so low that the print program advised against printing them.
Summary: I got the printer and it was easy to set up on our three computers. I love the 11 x 17 printing. The only problem I have had is that under the normal quality setting, black is more a very dark grey. Under the fine quality setting, the black is black. I order remanufactured cartridges from [...] for about $2.50 each. It is a big printer but it is a great printer.
Summary: I bought this for my sister. Once you figure out the weird setup, this thing works fine. Don't expect to use it as a photo printer. The couple of times I used it, it did what it was supposed to do and for this price range, there are not a lot around that can do this. But the biggest seller was the cost of the ink which I found Brother to be the most cost efficient at. Buy HP at your own risk, you will end up paying a lot more if you go with them.
