Summary: This was my low-cost approach to producing 11 x 17 engineering drawings. I am delighted; after 4 years it still runs and with good quality photo paper gives great color prints. Go online to find low cost ink and save yourself a bundle. I have mine hard-wired on my home LAN.

Summary: I bought this for my sister. Once you figure out the weird setup, this thing works fine. Don't expect to use it as a photo printer. The couple of times I used it, it did what it was supposed to do and for this price range, there are not a lot around that can do this.
Summary: First printer had mechanical problem. Second & Third printers "printed at 90 degrees to paper axis". (The paper was installed incorrectly). This is an excellent machine with tremendous capabilities, but you must read all 207 pages manual before you touch it.

Summary: I bought the Brother MFC 5890CN when my old reliable HP 1220C bit the dust after nearly 10 years of service. I don't have a phone line so don't know how good the fax is. The other functions of the machine seem to work well.
