Excellent Printer, Blows Away the HPC6180 That It Replaced.

Excerpt: I was forced into buying my Brother MFC-465CN printer when my HP Photosmart C6180 died after only a year and a half (and after only printing/copying less than 5900 pages). I have prior experience with both HP and Brother printers --- I have come to swear at HP for their* *products and customer service (aka, NONE) and have come to swear by Brother products.
Excerpt: I just purchased this to replace our HP 712C so anything was an improvement but I am so happy with this printer. I read reviews and did my research before ordering. I have not used all the features as of yet but the print, scan and card reader features are all excellent. I see that Mac users have had troubles with this printer but I am a desktop PC user and I've had no trouble at all with this unit.
Excerpt: I've had the Brother MFC-465CN for over 2 years now and it still works great! It is a printer, scanner, copier, fax all in one machine. My model doesn't have the handset for the fax (my mom has the one with the handset) I didn't want/need the handset though, I don't use this as a phone. It makes great copies, scans like a pro and uses the printer ink efficiently. I have never had any issues with jams-ever.
Excerpt: This Brother All-in-One Printer is easy to use. It's a printer, copier, fax and scanner. It uses 4 Brother LC-51 Series ink cartridges. They last a very long time, better then any I had before. Photo printing is very clear on photo paper, best that I have used. Will print from different memory cards and USB Flash memory card. Document printing is true color or black/white. The Fax feature is easy to use, there is a paper feed feature.
Pros: Excellent Network Print, Scan, Fax software. Great Print Quality. Easily load Envelopes and Photo paper. Integrates well with Office Products. Easily refillable ink carts. If you don't use it much. Just unplug it to stop the daily ink cleaning.
Cons: Not really any. But does require a firmware upgrade to prevent the "All Functions Blocked" when an ink tank is empty.
Summary: This is the perfect multi-function machine for a small household. Ease of set-up and use. Very user friendly. Not big space user. Though I wasn't looking for a fax option I am glad that I got it. You never know when circumstance in life will change and the need arise. I did find the placement for the USB modem connection in wierd place-under the scan bed. I recommend this machine to anyone who has small to moderate need.
Summary: This little printer is great. I have nine of them running between my home, my office, and my family and friends. It is inexpensive to purchase in the beginning and I have had not maintainance at all. It has great ink usage even with the four cartridge system. I order my ink from ABCInk.com and then recycle them when empty at Staples. It makes the ink "almost" free. As good as the print feature is, I find that I like the scan feature even more.
Summary: I have owned a couple of Brother printers like this one. I really like Brother printers because of the ease to refill the ink cartridges. I especially like this one because it has a fax machine and an auto feed paper area on the top. A real bonus is the card reader. It even has a little window so i can view my pictures on the printer before printing. Brother printers are well within in my budget. They are good quality and they are built to last.
Summary: You've got a fax machine, a copier, a scanner and a printer in a single machine! Liked the fact that you don't need a dedicated line for your fax since the machine automatically detects when a fax is coming and it picks it up. My wife loves the copier operation that is very simple. And I love the ink economy!
