Excellent Printer, Blows Away the HPC6180 That It Replaced.
9 September 2012
Excerpt: I was forced into buying my Brother MFC-465CN printer when my HP Photosmart C6180 died after only a year and a half (and after only printing/copying less than 5900 pages). I have prior experience with both HP and Brother printers --- I have come to swear at HP for their* *products and customer service (aka, NONE) and have come to swear by Brother products. I previously had a Brother laser printer that performed without fault ---- it got retired when my step-son took it...
Excerpt: I just purchased this to replace our HP 712C so anything was an improvement but I am so happy with this printer. I read reviews and did my research before ordering. I have not used all the features as of yet but the print, scan and card reader features are all excellent. I see that Mac users have had troubles with this printer but I am a desktop PC user and I've had no trouble at all with this unit. For right around $100 this printer will hopefully last for several...
Excerpt: I've had the Brother MFC-465CN for over 2 years now and it still works great! It is a printer, scanner, copier, fax all in one machine. My model doesn't have the handset for the fax (my mom has the one with the handset) I didn't want/need the handset though, I don't use this as a phone. It makes great copies, scans like a pro and uses the printer ink efficiently. I have never had any issues with jams-ever. I can print on photo paper and it looks good, not...
Excerpt: This Brother All-in-One Printer is easy to use. It's a printer, copier, fax and scanner. It uses 4 Brother LC-51 Series ink cartridges. They last a very long time, better then any I had before. Photo printing is very clear on photo paper, best that I have used. Will print from different memory cards and USB Flash memory card. Document printing is true color or black/white.
HOW TO SOLVE INCORRECT INK & CARTRIDGE ERROR MESSAGES ON THIS PRINTER

Summary: I've had this printer for about 2 years now and I almost love it. Easy to operate and cheap ink can be bought on-line. BUT, like many other owners of various Brother models, I began to experience 'Low Ink' messages when the cartridges were still somewhat full, and then 'No Cartridge' messages when I inserted brand new Brother Innobella cartridges. Very frustrating because the printer essentially won't print when these incorrect messages persist.
Summary: This is the perfect multi-function machine for a small household. Ease of set-up and use. Very user friendly. Not big space user. Though I wasn't looking for a fax option I am glad that I got it. You never know when circumstance in life will change and the need arise. I did find the placement for the USB modem connection in wierd place-under the scan bed. I recommend this machine to anyone who has small to moderate need.
Summary: I've had this printer for over a year. It works very well. The built-in networking is a big plus. Print speed is what you'd expect for an inkjet. Print quality is very good. I like having separate color (3) and black cartridges. I've been using non-Brother inks and the quality is still good. The printer is quiet and fits well on the desk in our home office. I use the copy feature once in a while and it works well. The automatic document feeder is a nice feature.
Summary: This little printer is great. I have nine of them running between my home, my office, and my family and friends. It is inexpensive to purchase in the beginning and I have had not maintainance at all. It has great ink usage even with the four cartridge system. I order my ink from ABCInk.com and then recycle them when empty at Staples. It makes the ink "almost" free. As good as the print feature is, I find that I like the scan feature even more.
Summary: I got this for about $70 new. I've had it for almost 2 years now. All functions work perfectly, efficiently and inexpensively. First, you can buy compatible ink for around $3-4 per cartridge!! These do not leak or damage the Brother machine. They last along time too. Print quality is awesome and it's very fast coming close to advertised speeds. I've used the scanner so many times and it's great, but a little slow depending on DPI chosen. The copier works fine and fast.
